[It's the end of a long week filled with family, and one more night of eating too much and tolerating people you're probably sick of. The food tonight features grilled chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and ice cream for dessert.

Of course, one last night of family isn't complete without photos of the gang and some dumb games to cap the week off. Here we go again:]

[Those people you see about once every five years when this shindig goes down? You want to have another photo to remember them by from this time around, right? Group up and start getting those pictures taken! All photos taken by other family members, of course.]

[Raine's a bit more interested in the specs of the cameras than getting her picture taken, but...well, she supposes it wouldn't hurt to pose with the other Sages.]

Ah--let's see, is everyone here? Who are we missing?

I'm here, I'm here!

[ Hyper little girl pauses a moment. ]

I don't see big bro, though. [ Legatooooooooo! ]

Hmm. Well, perhaps we could have a picture with just us for now, and then when everyone else arrives we can have another one? It't not as though we're wasting film. [Yay digital!]

[Raine, your half-sister will murder you if you don't pose.]

I should stand near the back, do you not agree? [Since she towers over everyone...]

[She'll pose! Eventually.]

That would be best, I think. Three rows ought to be sufficient for our branch of the family.

Of course. You will join us when you have finished, will you not? As much as I hate to tear you from the camera, it would not be the same without you. [There's just a hint of teasing in there. She adores the intellectuals of her family and that Raine is a bit of a nerd is really just a bonus in her eyes.]

Oh, yes, of course I will. That would rather defeat the purpose.

[But first she's checking if they're panoramic or regular, and how many megapixels.]

I wonder, will they be posted on a website or mailed directly to us?

[this is not a week she wants to remember in any sort of detail, but Natsuki's here, lounging about and hoping to get this over with as quickly as possible. Maybe then she can get packed and hopefully finally get to leave. Her pet dog (wolf) is sprawled next to her, tail thumping on the ground as she absentmindedly scratches his ears.]

[ Erika on the other hand is sitting around with a Stark Tablet like, you know, one of those kids. Idly switching between sketching new outfits and playing Rabid Bunnies. Speaking of scratches, the girl has some small splotches of neosporin from someone's babby fists. HARUMPH ]

Can we eaaaat already? All I've had was ice cream all day and I'm tired of pictures.

I never thought you'd ever be tired of pictures.

[so deadpan:] But yeah, we're doing this just to avoid feeding you.

[ugh, she's hungry too.]

I can't look like this for the family picture! What's everyone gonna think when they see me with all these cuts and bruises back home? [ she'd be rubbing her face, but goes for covering it with her tablet ]

[ after a second, though, she peeks over at her sister ]

Do you think we'll get in trouble if we just go and eat first?

Make something up. I hear there are bears in these woods. [a bear attack story is infinitely cooler than 'my unsocialized cousin scratched me up.' Heck, make it multiple bears.

She glances around and well. It doesn't look like anybody else has shown up thus far.]

Probably not. [though she's not at all concerned about the severity of the trouble they'd get into for this - it's definitely a far cry from people getting hurt or whatever.] Plus it's not like we're going far.
