[ The castle grounds holding the gardens have been transformed into a spring party sensation. Tall banners carrying the Tudor rose have been arranged in a representation of a border surrounding the celebration and events, but there are no real walls or barriers. It might make guarding difficult for the few in her employ, but that's hardly Queen Anne's problem. Nobody will be kept away unless they arrive with no mask (or representation of a mask), and although it might be hard to tell considering it's a masquerade, there will be some people (not many) from the city who have decided tentatively to accept Anne's invitation, helping fill in the crowd.

The theater stage has been covered in flowers of all sorts, as are the four wooden thrones arranged in the center. Each seat is taken, a tie for both King and Queen making for double the fun! Robb and Lucrezia have dressed as Orion and Diana, while Zelos and Galadriel have chosen Odysseus and Penelope (with a little help). The tops of their heads have been left bare, at least for the opening ceremony.

In front of them stands Anne in her costume, and she waits for the crowd to quiet before she speaks. ]

Good citizens of Cair Paradisa and City Royale, you come here today to seek pleasure and company, and I have never seen a finer or more unique looking peoples. I know you may find it difficult to smile in the wake of such recent tragedy. All here have known loss, but we have not let it conquer us, have we? God is with us. Brave souls here risked the unknown to discover the cause, while other remained to help rebuild. I am fiercely proud to see such dedication to one another, and I can only hope such unity continues to blossom! The work on the city will continue, as will the rehabilitation of the survivors most affected by calamity.

But today we spread our arms wide and heartily welcome summer. Today we make merry and keep our loves close. Today we celebrate an unprecedented event, two Queens and Kings!

[ She turns and walks over to the thrones, where the ladies hold crowns of roses in their laps and the men crowns of wooden antlers. She names each as she settles the crowns atop their heads. ]

Queen Galadriel. King Zelos. Queen Lucrezia. King Robb.

[ In playful deference, Anne will lift her skirts and curtsy to the four of them when they stand to announce that the festivities begin! ]

That it would end in your deaths and the people who won would replace you. [She sighs.] Of course. Nothing can ever be that simple. But who would even do that? Curse people and then give them hope it can be removed and then take the people they care about and curse them?

[It sounds like a cold, ruthless person to her. She's known a few of them.]

[That's a bit of a sigh at that and he just gives her a look.] The same type of person who would do this for several generations and who wanted the strongest people guarding a part of a set of items to keep the world in order. The same one that would hire seven people to guard the items, and then curse them.

For the good of the world, seven people have to die a generation... [She shakes her head.] That's seven too many. Nobody should have to die to save the world. Nobody.

[That's...kind of hit a nerve.]

[He just sighs at that, because oh is there ever more. And there's Lal to mention and Bermuda, but he'll tell her that later. Now, now's not the time for it.] Which is what Tsuna said himself. There's more, but for now I think we should focus on an immediate problem.

[The dancing and stalkers.]

[Oh, look, a change of subject. Good. This was a party, they were supposed to be enjoying themselves. But...] What immediate problem?

[Sneakily tilting his head towards their stalkers while yes, whispering in her ear now.] We have watchers attempting to be sneaky.

...Watchers? On the balcony? [She glances over there, trying to see who it is but they're behind a plant.] I couldn't hear them, there's too much interference.

[What with the music and the people and Reborn being so close to her.]

[The only reason he noticed was because of Tsuna's mask as he got dragged by Ino.] Tsuna and his blonde friend, and I doubt she's taking him for something more intimate as I believe she's taken.

[He stalks that house like mad, okay?]

...Ino. [The way she says it means that she's not even remotely surprised.] She's dating Gale, so no. Also, she's more of Tsuna's big sister than anything.

...She also has a habit in being [How does she say this...] invested in other people's love lives.

[Okay he can guess the big sister thing, that makes sense. Tsuna's done well here with people after all.

But wait a minute...

Did that mean...?

She's not the type to listen either when you deny it, is she?

I don't know, I've never tried to deny it, because the last time she got involved in my love life was with Yuan. [Yes, Martel is a known victim.] But she's not bad, just...enthusiastic.

[Which means he should back off, give her respectful space and treat her like a friend. Not invading her space to troll his student. But that's not going to happen as he happens to like this for the moment, unless of course Martel pushes him away. Yup.]

Enthusiastic. [He's not sure if he should be worried or not.] I knew I should have found Tsuna a date.

[Nope, she's not pushing him away because she's rather comfortable like this. Actually, this situation amuses her along with the fact that he seems slightly...flustered.] Oh, it's not all that bad. Maybe she's spying on us for a different reason...?

And what would getting Tsuna a date have to do with anything?

[He's not flustered, he's perfectly in control of his emotions. This is his happy face.] From behind a tree?

And it would have given her a distraction from meddling. [Yup.]

She's a ninja. [This totally makes sense, Reborn. And he is flustered.]

Well, last time her meddling had a good outcome. So. [She shrugs, a touch of a smile on her face.]

Ah. [It does, really this is the guy that wears crazy costumes, being a ninja makes sense to him.

So not flustered.]

Tsuna could use it, he's rather hopeless in some aspects. Even back home.[Maybe he can shove them back onto the topic of Tsuna.]

Ino's meddling? Maybe. I haven't ever seen him with a girl.

No, I don't think you would. At home he's had a girl he's been interested in for some time who he hasn't made his intentions clear to on his own yet. [On his own yet is key in there.]

...Huh. He hasn't mentioned her at all to me. But then again, I'm not sure if he would.

[...Waitaminute.] And he's talked about home to you? About his other friends?

[heal_theworld]

Yes. Nanimori, right? [She's pretty sure she pronounced that right.] He's mentioned his friends, too. Not their names, but... That he has them. Nothing about any girl, though. What's her name?

[Martel's vaguely curious now.]

[greatesthitman]

[He nods at that, any interest in their stalkers gone for the moment.] Kyoko, she's the sister of his Sun Guardian Ryohei.

[Martel shakes her head.] No, he's never mentioned her.

[At that, she frowns, not sure if she should voice what she's thinking of. The fact that this girl might be Tsuna's loss.]

[She could, but he's thinking similar.] Odd. I'll talk with him later about her, see if it is what I'm thinking.

[And with that he's just voiced his suspicions, hasn't he?]

Very odd. [She pauses. Since they both know what they're thinking...] ...I wonder if he knows.
