[ Dictated and filtered away from First Gens and people who would use this against the expedition ]
I know you all might be a bit tired of hearing these, but please bear with me and hear one more.
We have asked that some stay behind to guard the Castle, and it is not a bad idea. I have opted to stay as part of that group, given much of my skill is magical in nature and will be nullified in the Dead Zone. That being said, there are also parts out there where magic could work and not knowing what you will find, I thought to make charms of protection for people to take.
While they might lose their power in the Dead Zone, if magic is regained, they could come in handy, especially if you should face combat. It is a long shot, but I would like to make everyone as prepared as possible, in any way we can. If you would like some, please contact me through the journals or if you run into me in the castle I also know how to pack for long land journeys if anyone is having trouble deciding what to bring.
If nothing else, I hope they might bring luck and comfort.

Re: (Filtered to Vanyel)
If you are willing, I could use your help with the charms. The pleasure of your company is nothing I would not mind either.
[ His voice is warm as he speaks to his lover, not yet broaching the subject of if Tylendel planned to go or not, though he had made clear his own stance. ]
(Filtered to Vanyel/Tylendel)
Besides, I think it's worth the risk too.
Re: (Filtered to Vanyel/Tylendel)
[ He blinked on his end. ]
Ah, Tylendel... I am not going. I decided to remain here, in case of an attack since the Dead Zone nullifies my magical ability.

Re: (Filtered to Vanyel/Tylendel)
[ He smiled at that. Tylendel, his brave golden boy... ]
Good. I would not see you from my side either. But, what say you and I enjoy lunch before we get to work? I could use all the energy I can get.

(Better not get into this here.)
We can talk over food.
Re: (Filtered to Vanyel/Tylendel)
Of course.
[ He could hear something was wrong, but trying to push Tylendel to say or do anything was like trying to herd a cat at times. Best to let him come forward with it on his own. ]
There's a dish a friend of mine introduced me too. We can go out to the gardens and I can wish it up. I think you will like it, 'Lendel.

(ooc: Do you want me to start a log? Or would you prefer an action thread?)
Action!
[ ooc: Action thread is fine :) ]
[ Vanyel goes outside, commandeering them a spot beneath a fine tree and spreading out a blanket the color of his favorite dark blue. Oh, he was peacoking again, but it was one of his lovable traits wasn't it? He settled down to wait for 'Lendel, sure the other would find him soon, concentrating as he wished up the dishes Clow had introduced him to, opening his eyes to a world of culinary delights. ]
Action!
(Tylendel is wearing a golden brown shirt and dark brown pants, which bring out the golden tones in his hair and on his skin. He has managed to gain some color since arriving - mostly thanks to his rather curious nature - but he still isn't as tan and healthy looking as he once was.
Regardless, the moment he sees Van, he beams and hurries his steps, stretching out his legs so he covers more ground. When he is close enough, he gives his lover a very warm kiss as a greeting.)
Did you wish for this blanket, Van? (He chuckles at the hue.)
Re: Action!
[ Always his lifebonded was beautiful. It never failed to amaze him, that the sight of him was like watching a god come down from the heavens. He laughed at the comment, accepting the kiss with a pleased flutter of his eyes, resisting the urge to moan. It was a terrible habit of his, making such noises whenever Tylendel kissed him, and he should curb it for the sake of decorum. ]
Well, it was this or sit on the grass, and I would hate to see your trousers stained.
[ He patted Tylendel's knee and then turned as he wished up their food, steaming plates of Chinese dishes that smelled of lemon and orange and peppers. ]
Action!
Well that's a rarity that he would savor to the utmost. Particularly considering how exquisite Vanyel is in his eyes.
As for the moan, Havens no! He will become quite cross if Vanyel ever tries to stifle that. It sends a delicious chill up his spine and he only has the desire to keep his lover fully...er...occupied.)
I have a feeling you were thinking more about your trousers than mine. (His eyes twinkle good-naturedly and he sits down. When the food appears, his eyes widen and he sniffs the air.) I've never smelled something like this before! What is it?

Re: Vanyel
Of course, anything I can do to help. Would you like to meet then? It might be easier to show you what would be good for packing, which will depend on if you have an animal or not you plan to bring, and you could show me your powers in person so I have an idea of those too.
Vanyel
Re: Vanyel
Ah, I am fairly open to anywhere of your choosing. It depends on the nature of your power. Does it need more room to be shown?
Vanyel
Re: Vanyel
Yes, that would do fine. My family is famous for breeding horses, so I can actually help you select a mount if you like.
Vanyel
Re: Vanyel
All right, I will be there shortly.
[ He will leave a quick note for Tylendel and then make his way down to the barn, dressed in doe-skin trousers, knee high dark brown riding boots, and an emerald green tunic that compliments both his trousers and his boots as well as his dark hair with its streak of silver. He smiles when he sees the young women he thinks is the person he was talking to earlier. ]
Ah, were you the one requesting help with preparing for the expedition earlier?
Action
[She turns when she hears a voice behind her.] Yup, that's me. Thanks for meeting me. [She sticks out her hand to greet her benefactor.] I'm Meg.
Re: Action
[ He nodded his head and took her hand, automatically raising the back of it to his lips and pressing a soft kiss to it. Not in a creepy way, but a polite way, a gentleman to a lady as his mother had taught him. The habit was so firmly ingrained, he hardly thought about it as he did it.
In the back of his mind, Yfandes laughed. ]
A pleasure to meet you, Meg. I am Vanyel. Now, where would you like to begin?
Re: Action
Pleasure to meet you as well, Vanyel. I suppose you're the expert. Why don't you lead the way?
Re: Action
[ It was something Vanyel would probably never lose. His mother had ingrained it into him, and at court it was a necessity.
He nodded his head and lead her out of the barn and over to a paddock. ]
There's quite a few horses without owners, but I Yfandes would have a better idea of their personality than me at this juncture. How experienced are you on horseback?
