Smallville and I figured it was long past time we set a date, so this is making it officially official. ... That is, assuming that the castle manages to put itself back together again by April, because if this is going to be the new standard around here? We might need to think about relocating the ceremony somewhere where the cake won't abruptly turn into a feral tiger. I mean, nothing against tigers, but this wedding? Is going to be circus animal free.

But for now, I'm going to go ahead and assume this is just one of the castle's usual bouts of temporary insanity and it'll allll blow over by tomorrow.  Or... next week.

... At least by April.  Right, Paradisa?

Right.

[... ???]

... [Uhhhhh. What. The. What. After a second, she adds uncertainly:] ... Hello...?

I'm asking you to not pick fights and insult others. I will be asking Lois to do the same. And while I get the frustration of having to share a month, I do think it's absurd to threaten lives over it. There's no reason there can't be two April weddings.

[There's actually an element of confusion present when Molotov speaks again.] I am not going to kill her because she stole my wedding date. I am going to kill her because she begged me to do it, with her gluttonous little American mouth.

[He can't hear or see half the conversation, okay :(]

Excuse me?

That is what utterly unbridled greed gets everyone, eventually. A bullet between the eyes. Well, at least if one is lucky enough to get a traditionalist such as myself.

Perhaps your bride-to-be should have learned that excess never pays off.

Molotov, that's ridiculous. Lois and I live on reporter's paychecks. We do our part in the community. And because we've decided to get married in Paradisa, somehow that warrants an assassination? That's the most absurd overreaction I've ever heard.

How much money you make is irrelevant here, for a number of reasons, but the most important being that I was not talking about income. One can be filled with rapacity without making a great deal of money. And of course your decision to get married here does not warrant assassination.

Your fiancee earned that on her own, with her attitude.

No, but it reflects the way we live. We don't do "greed." It's not how I was raised, and it won't be how I raise my kids.

And even so, Molotov. There is no justification for murder.

It is greedy to know that you get to go home and still marry, and even admit that your wedding in Paradisa is just a luxury, yet insist you be allowed the most optimal wedding date here. It is greedy to say that you must get married here, because your future child is present, particularly when you are saying that to someone whom you have already been informed will never have a child. It is greedy to tell other people to work around your plans, despite the fact that your plans involve inviting the entirety of the castle to your event, and therefore making it my responsibility to either change my plans or force my guests to choose.

You and your fiancee are greedy. There is no other explanation.

And I greatly beg to differ. Many things justify murder.

[Sighs, and switches back to English.]

Look, we've never going to agree on this, but I'm making this clear: try to harm her, and you will be the one in trouble.
molotov: (ew)

[personal profile] molotov 2012-03-02 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
This is precious. Do you fight all of her battles for her, or just the ones where she bit off more than she can chew?

Conversation's over, Molotov.

[Nope :| And before Lois can jump in on that, he's just closing the journal.]

[That means she wins!

No, but seriously. She's gonna fuck y'all's shit up as much as she can.]
