Forty Fourth Sip
[Maladict really isn't in much of a better mood. She's tried to focus on other things, however, to keep her mind off wanting to punch certain stupid people in the face multiple times. She's sitting in the dining room, sipping a cup of coffee, doodling vague turtle shapes in her journal as she dictates]
Does anyone else find their attitude towards going home changes the longer they stay here? Not exactly contentment, but...I don't know. Almost a sort of familiarity? I wonder if that just comes naturally after getting used to this place, living here for so long, or if it's something the castle itself is doing to our minds. Trying to lull us into a false sense of security. Make us want to say.
[Though she's still homesick, though she misses the Disc and have people understand her culture and her way of life without having to explain it...she doesn't feel the same drive to leave as she once did. She doesn't like it, it's worrying]
Something to think about.

I think it's normal...to start to feel a sense of familiarity after you been in this place for so long. It would happen to me when I would stay in a new city for a longer time than usual on Earth.

I've been in the service of the Night's Watch for the past two years. It's cold, it's isolated, and my brothers are my only company. Despite this I find myself having difficulty adjusting to life here. I'm not used to being provided for. I'm sure if I could ever be used to it.
