[Forward-dated to tomorrow night, but I wanted to get it up before I forgot and got eaten by work.]
[At first, she thought he was just being a brat. He could do that sometimes.
Then she thought he might be on another loss, because that could happen, too. But when she heads to his door and is getting ready to knock, she notices the nameplate is missing, and her hand falters. No. Not again.
Then she remembers the date, and she pulls out the journal for a filter]

[then she waits. She waits for a long, long time, until she’s sure that he’s really gone. Then she scribbles out the filter and writes:]
Alec’s gone.
[after that, the book gets slammed shut. She needs to go sulk for a while, but she’ll be back to respond to people later.]
