There will be another a skating lesson on Sunday December 16^th in the Ballroom.

All skill levels are welcome. We are starting with inline skating, then moving on to ice skating on December 22^nd.

Please bring your own gear if you have any. Wrist guards are the most important protective gear to bring if you fall a lot, unless you tend to land on your head.

Still. Brock is carrying an armful of wood. He can't really see over the pile very well (he has a lot), so it's entirely possible he is very close to bumping into people.]

All right. So we're all agreed that it's the nutcrackers, right? I have to ask, then- what exactly is wrong with mistletoe? Too generic? Or are nutcrackers supposed to be the hot make-out item in some alternate world? Because that's weird. I mean seriously, what would inspire that? "Hey, I see a nutcracker, let's make out."

Paradisa, you're going off the deep end.

I'm telling you, the sooner my tower is finished and I can move out of here, the better.

Okay, really, I understand it's a new decoration and all, but having the kissing thing happen year after year is frankly just repetitive and annoying, if you ask me. This castle is about as uncreative as it gets.

[Tesla lets out a bored huff. He's sitting in the lobby, hopefully away from any nutcrackers of any kind, as he pores over what he wanted to say next.]

So, any horror stories from the kissing yet? You all better tell me some good ones.

Since it appears that I will be here some time, I suppose I have some questions to ask.  Would anyone be willing to give me lessons in anything?   I'm not picky about the topic, although I would like to continue my studies in fencing, politics, cooking and magic.

[Cimorene was hopeful that no one would object.  Back home it simply wasn't done for a princess to learn such things.  But from the people she had met so far in the castle she thought that maybe the attitude here would be different.  More like the dragons.  After all, Kazul had always encouraged her studies.]

[Alright, and to be fair that might have something to do with the inevitable bouts of kissing that come with said season. It's hard to believe this will be her fifth year of bells and and birds and fairies and...

Well, maybe it didn't used to matter so much? But her kissing's gotten a bit more exclusive of late. Something Fred doesn't mind one bit.
