I took care of an otter and raised a direwolf. I've hunted birds and squirrels. I can lure animals.

But not this one.

[The cat seems to have finally calmed down. It sniffs his hand, and then allows him to pet it.]

There you go, see?

[persequor]

You missed the point, stupid. [ Rolling her eyes and walking off. ]

[fantasies]

[Henry gets the cat to come out enough to scoop it up, and trots off after Arya.

What? You thought you were going to get rid of him?]

Why do you have to be [how'd she put it?] quick and quiet?

[persequor]

Because you can't pet a sword and have it not scratch you. To fight you have to be quick and quiet.

[ And smart. Something Henry isn't. ]

[fantasies]

Oh, I get it. [He readjusts the cat in his arms. It curls up against his shoulder.] Do you have to fight a lot in your world?

[persequor]

[ Her answer, when it finally comes, sounds distracted. ]

We do now.

[fantasies]

Oh.

[He's quiet for a second.]

I'm sorry.

[persequor]

[ Still walking. Not something she wants to talk about. ]

[fantasies]

[He follows her. Hello, awkward silence!

Eventually he shifts the cat again so his arms are tucked under its belly.]

Do you want your cat back?

[persequor]

It's not mine.

[fantasies]

Oh. Whose is it?

[persequor]

I don't know.

[fantasies]

[Wow. Terrorizing random cats, nice.]

Don't you think we should find out?

[persequor]

Why not? It could be lost.

So? Look at it. It's fat. It has a better life lost here than people do.

That just means it has somebody feeding it. So it's probably lonely without them.

Then go find them.

[ Still walking. Not caring. ]

He lapses into silence, but he's still following her.

I don't know. I was just looking around earlier.

What do you like to do besides training?

Go outside. Riding, swimming, hunting.
