[Travel through the portal had disoriented her and the dark haired woman faltered in her step as she dashed across the lobby. She came to a stop on the polished floor, looking up and around her.]

Well, this is unexpected.

[Where was she? More importantly where was Adam worth? Helen couldn't place this interior from anywhere she'd been before, it felt...odd. Archaic yet new.

[Maladict was making her way to the kitchen for her normal cup of coffee, but the sight of Helen made her pause in her tracks]

[Helen paused when the woman spoke; but there was no sense of recognition in her eyes.]

I beg your pardon, but I'm not entirely sure where I am. [She looked around herself again] But I do think I'd remember a place like this.

[Helen blinked and finally noted the voice issuing from her pocket, wherein was a small leather bound book. With her free hand, the other still holding her pistol, she opened the book, it fell to a page where neat script matched the words that were spoke.]

...Bloody hell....

It would depend on who you are, and what you know of the person I am looking for.

[The tone was polite, but the cold note of interrogation could not be missed.]

[This isn't the first time he's gone through this song and dance, especially with her. Which is why he's trading talking out for writing. Mostly as he knows eventually she'll more than likely catch on if he talks and slips as he can disguise his handwriting better.]

[Another entry in the book, a decidedly different hand, feminine writing echoing the voice that mysteriously came from the book.]

This is Helen Magnus, I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage.

[She'd been afraid of this. That the castle wouldn't bring her back with her memories of this place intact. But....at least she was back]

I'm Doctor River Song. You must be a bit overwhelmed by all of this. Has James contacted you yet?

[Agitation in her voice now, well not truly but there was an excitement in her tone to be sure.]

Ah, but it wouldn't do to be too friendly now. Few things are more unsettling than someone knowing you far better than you know them. So she settles on approaching with a smile and a rather formal nod of greeting.]

Dr. Magnus. [Back to titles until invited to address her otherwise. It only seemed proper.]

[Helen turned with a cant to her head. Natural smile of greeting for one who was familiar with her. Until she realized no one here should be familiar with her. Or...this person had known the previous Helen, one of them anyway. Oh dear, murky interpersonal waters to navigate. But the more she learned the easier it was getting.]

Ah, I don't mean to be rude but I believe you have me confused with a previous incarnation of myself. I'm only recently arrived.

I am called Galadriel. [That's it. No titles for the moment. After a year here, she's learned that using them on new arrivals generally just shakes them up further. Because talking to a 6'4" elf woman is startling enough for most people. ...Though maybe not for Helen.]

You have been told something of this place already, then? [Good, that cuts down on the amount of explaining she has to do.] I expect you will have many questions. I will answer them as best I may.

[No handshake, the respectful incline of her head seemed a more proper greeting to the delicate amazonian woman.]
