[She waves, and with one squirt of the pistol in Zelman's vague direction, she's off.]

[Meanwhile he'll spend the time while Zelman is climbing reminding himself that Zelman's teen years surely can't last forever. After he manages to console himself there, he'll go to meet his brother on the ground]

It's more the being attentive, knowing your exits, knowing how to not hide in the closet like a dumbass. Hotwiring cars and knowing how to get around someone coming after you with a weapon, that kind of stuff.
