[Perhaps it's the hand of providence. Perhaps it's the unseen, unknown yet still present hand of an omniscient magical castle. Perhaps someone had a surplus left over from July 4th...

Whatever the reason, it seems like resort employees are compelled to deliver boxes of fireworks around for the enjoyment of families currently staying at the resort. For families to shoot off themselves! What could possibly be more fun than that? There are sparklers and rockets and pretty much anything fireworks-ey you can imagine, for the whole family to enjoy. For EVERYONE in the whole family to enjoy.

Do try not to burn down your cabin, as you'll be paying for it if you do! Aim rockets to go out over the lake. Otherwise, enjoy.]

[Sam will totally help in this watching of the fireworks, albeit with some obvious curiosity. He kind of wants to light one just for fun and to see what it'll do.]

Do you think they'll let us touch any of them?

[Sam glances up at Takato with a shake of his head.] I don't think we're allowed to.

I guess not. [He smiles.] It seems like the adults are very concerned about the safety.

[sameteam]

Maybe they're supposed to. They're parents, I guess. They're supposed to know best. [At least, that's what he'd heard and what his dad had told him more than once.]

I'm sure you're right about that. Parents are supposed to worry, right?

[Delta sees Sam's obvious interest. Well, better to indulge responsibly, right?]

Would you like to help me with some of these, perhaps?

[Sam grins with a nod.] Yeah! Can I help, Delta?

Of course you may. Would you like to begin with sparklers or small fireworks? [Nothing that leaves the ground just yet, not until they have some practice with the basics. But it looks like there's a good variety of small fountains, miniature tanks and other relatively safe (yet exciting to a kid) options.]

The sparklers! [And he's reaching right for them, attempting to grab a handful of them. Clearly this is the best way to handle fireworks.]

[He'll let Sam pick up the bundle but isn't getting anywhere near there with a lighter just yet, nope.]

There are several varieties of sparkler. Please select which you would like to begin with. It is best to run one at a time so as not to have the unique colors combined.

It's fun. They're nice to look at.

[Unlike the boys, though, Rinzler is old enough to use fireworks responsibly. Delta nods toward Uncle Alan's stash.]

[Smirking, looking eager] Yes, I do.

[Somehow Delta thinks Rinzler would like the spinny disc things, so he hands a few of them to Rinzler.]
