Maybe it's because I've never had a significant other, but I honestly do not see the point in Valentine's Day. And people have told me in the future it is far more commercialized. If you truly care about someone, shouldn't you show this at every opportunity and not just one day a year?

I understand everyone likes to feel appreciated, but perhaps I'm too logical in this. I think I would rather something personal. But then I've also never been on a date. I have yet to even consider the psychological aspect of an intimate relationship like that.

Perhaps I shall look into that as well. [Because she needs a break between reading biochem technology books and learning computer code.]

[ And she was actually wondering if Stuart could help on this. They had as many bad moments as good but it didn't mean that she didn't love him ]

He was my guardian who also murdered my parents. Love was the last thing on my mind when he had my baby sister hanging outside a two story tower.

I'm not worried. Besides I could never get married back home anyway.

Not that it's changed what he's done. My parents and the dozens of people he's killed are gone.

I know. I have a brother. And I met someone back home. But I'm pretty sure he's dead now.

The chances of me even seeing him again are slim. If I ever return home, I'm going to be trapped in a boat with the man that killed my parents for an undetermined amount of time. [Fleeing the law because they ran out of their hearing. And set a hotel on fire.]

And there's no way to get away from him?

No. The alternative is my family being torn a part, my younger siblings becoming wards of the state, and I have no idea of my fate. It's better if I go with him. We'll at least be together.

And there's absolutely no one else to help you?

No. Those who have have either left or were killed.

[ At least being seventeen meant that she didn't have long to go until she was legally an adult, not that that was reassuring ]

I know. I have a lot of people looking out for me. Though I miss my siblings more than anything. [That was the only thing that really sucked about being there.]

I know. But I've been here almost a year. It doesn't ease the heartache at all.
