19th Gate [action + dictation]
[Vanyel is... well, floored to say the least by all this. His world had fairs, but there was nothing like this. The closest they came to a 'ride' was pony or hay rides for the children, and maybe a may pole or two, but nothing like this. Glittering ferris wheels, high-speed tilt-a-whirls, screaming roller coasters, foods that had no right existing, games that made no sense and he was sure were rigged,
It was basically one big giant jumble in his head and he is currently sitting on a bench, peering up at the questionable security of the ferris wheel and cringing at the screams from the near roller coasters and swings. Why? Why would you go on that thing in purpose? Thankfully, Yfandes was staying away, more than happy to let him deal with it up close as she watched from afar.
Of course, if there was one thing he had to say, the invention of this pop corn was quite delicious and wonderfully salty. He was currently licking his fingers clean of the salt and butter, glaring at the ferris wheel.
No, no he was not getting on that or anything else. No.]
Is this how all fairs are in the more advanced worlds? Why would you get on anything called a 'Screamer' of any sort?
[ooc: talk back to him through the journals or force him onto a ride ~ Have fun! And, no, he is not a peacock, it just the only icon with the appropriate expression, lol]

action :>
Many people find it thrilling to tempt fear.
you enjoy breaking this poor thing, don't you?
Ah, I suppose, but I have tempted it once to often to find it fun anymore.
[He motioned for the other to come and sit if he liked, not wanting to seem as if he was taking the entirety of the bench to himself.]
only a little
This is hardly real danger. It's just illusion, meant to produce adrenaline and euphoria.

[He was stout in his belief sir and you were not going to change his mind on this.]

[Lights! Camera! Action!]
You could do to wear something a little less restricting at a fair you know, Vanyel.
lol
[He is dressed in his outdoor tunic and pants and boots. They were looser than some of his other items by far, and belted around the waist, his dark hair drawn back in a tail.]
But it is good to see you, Edgeworth. How is the symphony coming?

[He smiled, offering him some popcorn.]
How goes the symphony, Miles?

...Interesting, is the word that comes to mind...

How so? One strange instrument to many?

Not going to go on any of the rides?
Re: [action]
Thank you, Clow.
And no. I do not see how something that makes you scream should be considered a 'ride' of any sort, not to mention plummeting so from such a height.
[It just seems stupid to do unless you really have to, and even then!]
Nor do I understand these 'bumper car' things.
no subject
I'm rather partial to ferris wheels, though - I had a chance to ride on the very first one, actually.

I still think going up so high is... not wise. What is to stop the thing from toppling?

You just want to show off again, Clow.
[In other words, you were still not going to get him on that thing!
He held out his bag to him.]
Popcorn? It's quite delicious - salty though, but I have found I enjoy it after all the road food I've had to eat.
no subject
[Yep, turning up the charm just a little there. Though he will have some of that popcorn, too.]
Mm, it's a little bland if they don't add some kind of seasoning. I like the kind made with molasses the best, I think. Though you could add a lot of things... [...which he is now brainstorming.]
no subject
[He cocked his head as the other trailed off and he chuckled.]
Thinking up new dishes?
[He munched on more of his popcorn, going back to eyeing the ferris wheel.]
How is it that it just doesn't roll away? Surely that is a concern?
