[Thanks to Larry not knowing how to operate a stepladder correctly, Phoenix is currently laid up in bed, blue cast on his right leg, and an endless stream of whining ever at the ready.

He's also incredibly bored. Painting and drawing got old long ago, and he can't seem to stay focused on anything he tries to read. Never mind that he could probably pretty easily get out of bed and actually do something despite his (not very severely) broken leg...

He whines, over-dramatic, into the journal.]

Don't trust Larry Butz, everybody... he'll just break your bones and make you miserable...

[With a bit of apprehension, he adds a filter.]



Um... Trucy? ...mind keeping your uh... old man... company for a little while?

[Good lord but he feels ridiculous even asking this of a teenager he's only just recently met.]

[In an effort to not abandon post, he uses a free arm to blindly seek out the book that he was reading prior. Upon finding it, he wraps his arm around Phoenix's waist once again, and waves it in front of his face, eyes closed or not.]

Ah, yes. Well, in case you were interested in knowing...

[From within the book, he pulls out a folded stack of paper, just about 4-6 sheets, held together by a single stapler. He taps Phoenix on the head with it.]

...I've been doing a bit of research, myself.

[He opens his eyes once more to peek at whatever that is flapping about in front of his face.]

[He twists just a bit, looking back over his shoulder to try to see Edgeworth without completely disrupting their cuddling.]

What do you want to know? It was all for a diversion. Merely intended for stress-relief. I hardly enjoyed it and all in all, it was a massive waste of precious time.

But... so does that mean you prefer "receiving"?

[Because he really doesn't think he's got it in himself to be dominant in that situation. Not right now, anyway.]

What I mean to say is that I probably would have been a bit more assertive if I were actually...a bit more interested.

[Phoenix, being the worrywart that he is, can't help but imagine Edgeworth just lying there and taking it simply out of... loneliness, or whatever his reason was for seeking out those other men.

Not the most pleasant mental image; he tries to push it away.]
