[Thanks to Larry not knowing how to operate a stepladder correctly, Phoenix is currently laid up in bed, blue cast on his right leg, and an endless stream of whining ever at the ready.
He's also incredibly bored. Painting and drawing got old long ago, and he can't seem to stay focused on anything he tries to read. Never mind that he could probably pretty easily get out of bed and actually do something despite his (not very severely) broken leg...
He whines, over-dramatic, into the journal.]
Don't trust Larry Butz, everybody... he'll just break your bones and make you miserable...
...on a related note, come and sign my cast.
[With a bit of apprehension, he adds a filter.]
Um... Trucy? ...mind keeping your uh... old man... company for a little while?
[Good lord but he feels ridiculous even asking this of a teenager he's only just recently met.]

[Sure, it hurts, but...]
...I'd rather you stay right where you are.

no subject
...really? I thought you wanted to read your book.

[In an effort to not abandon post, he uses a free arm to blindly seek out the book that he was reading prior. Upon finding it, he wraps his arm around Phoenix's waist once again, and waves it in front of his face, eyes closed or not.]
Ah, yes. Well, in case you were interested in knowing...
[From within the book, he pulls out a folded stack of paper, just about 4-6 sheets, held together by a single stapler. He taps Phoenix on the head with it.]
...I've been doing a bit of research, myself.
no subject
...research about what?
no subject
...Well, whatever we were just talking about...
no subject
...I thought you were experienced, anyway?

[All the incredulity!]
But you're so... commanding...

Phoenix, those times were very...different.
ignore this icon plz
[He twists just a bit, looking back over his shoulder to try to see Edgeworth without completely disrupting their cuddling.]
Then ignore this this. BUT YOU CAN'T
there is no ignoring that fine piece of booty :|

But... so does that mean you prefer "receiving"?
[Because he really doesn't think he's got it in himself to be dominant in that situation. Not right now, anyway.]
no subject
What I mean to say is that I probably would have been a bit more assertive if I were actually...a bit more interested.
no subject
Not the most pleasant mental image; he tries to push it away.]
I... guess I understand.

...
If there is anything you wish to ask, you know I will be honest with you.

[His voice is thin, strained with concern and the sense that he would do anything to be able to go back in time and fix everything; he didn't mean to ask this, but there it is, anyway.]
