[He can't do one Pendragon without doing the other after all, right? Right. So after some thought he filters to Morgana as well.]

What do you know of a woman named Igraine?

[His task for the Pendragon family, or rather the ones here and he's taken upon himself to meddle with, done, he sets himself up in the lobby on a sofa, a few pieces of wood in hand as he works on carvings for various people.]

I'd ask about how many of you are royalty, but I think I'd very much regret asking, much like I'd regret asking about parties. But I've never been one to value my peace of mind, so tell me, how many of you claim a title of power or importance or similar? [Asking outright probably wouldn't get him very far, but hey it's a start. He likes to keep track of such things after all and Igraine's arrival has made him think about such things.]

Why the change in title?

[That's his fault for not immediately filtering to him, isn't it? Oh well, he'll figure things out as they go.

He does sound a little, well, sorry for not giving him warning earlier.]

Not a happy reunion then? [He'd ask if she was dead, it's her fate in their world after all, but he doesn't want to anger the young king too much.]

Because some like to make such talk difficult, can never give a straight answer or some such.

[ She does not answer straight away, though she does spend some time staring at the journal. ]

In my world, she was Queen before her death and it was her death that caused the Great Purge and killed so many innocent people for simply having a gift that others did not.

She was Arthur's mother, her life was taken so his could begin. Such is the way of the old magics, for a life to be created or saved a life must be taken in return. The balance must be upheld.

Morgana;

[Ah that would explain Arthur's issues with her then. This was going to be complicated, wasn't it? Why couldn't things be simple and smooth and not drive him five ways to crazytown?]

She was Queen, until Uther was poisoned and died. Then she was brought to Camelot, to aide Arthur in ruling and to learn about the son she never saw grow.

[How much of his involvement in Arthur's life should he tell her? He's not sure, so this is a start.]

Such is the way of magic, a price for what you want, it's no different for me.

A title of power? It seems to me that that would depend a great deal on how one defines that phrase.
