Hi. I have this sneaking suspicion that I missed a lot, seeing as it's now January and I think I was kidnapped. So much for my little get together for the new year.

[There's a few metallic clatters here, one of them is drawn out as a ring spins to a slow stop on her desk.]

I also seem to have way more Renaissance-style jewelry than I remember, and that doesn't bode well. Uh, Lucrezia...?

There seems to be a lack of mass confusion, so I'm guessing it was only a few of us that... what? Got stuck in a--I don't even know what that was, really.

Sooooo. Care to fill me in? Anyone? Please tell me I wasn't turned into an old woman or something and just don't remember that.

That would be nice for her, I think. She gets good care in Monteriggioni, but not like the care she could have here.

Lots to catch up on, then. When I was away, I missed my mom more than anyone else in the world. I don't think it's something you grow out of.

So! Still scary. If I had to have someone mad at me, I'd choose the Assassin over the Assassin's sister.

[shrugs, continues cooking. He's not going to put himself in the dog house by saying he's better than her.]

It was just random musing, anyway. Despite evidence to the contrary, whether people show up here at all has to be random. It never makes any sense.

The same thing has happened with people I know, too. And now it's just kinda... stopped. Kara aside, that is. The people I know trickle in instead of flood, you know?
