[The morning after Frodo's arrival, Clem comes back to the castle, just as she said she would. She's excited to hang out with her new friend (because you become friends after helping someone get a bath and food), and knocks on the door before sticking her head in.

She hopes he's not still asleep.]

[Best friend? Hmm. One comes to mind.]

His name is Lee. When everything changed, he found me and took me with him. He protects me. He's strong, smart, and brave. The bravest. He's the nicest person I've ever met, and he always tries to help people.

I am glad you found him. [ He won't even ask about her parents. He figures there must be a reason she hasn't mentioned them, like he wouldn't. ]

It is difficult to be generous during hard times.

I'm glad I found him, too. And I'm glad you have Sam.

[A pause.] I don't think either of them are here, though. I didn't hear anyone named Sam on the journal after you got here. [She checked, just in case, but it was just like with Lee--one showed up, only.]

But I'll be your friend and keep you company until he shows up.

[ Frodo grants her his brightest smile yet! She's the sweetest thing. ]

Who looks after you here, Clementine? Is it Arthur?

Yeah. Him, and Dany, mostly. I live with Arthur, though.

Now they seem kind. I should like to meet them.

I want you to meet them, too. They'd like you.

I promise to be on my best behaviour! [ Now if he could reach for yet another apple... ]

I didn't think you'd be on your worst.

Not for you. Never.

[A smile. :') ]

Are you still hungry?

[ He throws the apple to the air and catches it again. ]

One more should do.

You must have a big kitchen at home.

[ He starts chomping down on that apple now. ]

A large pantry too. Always fully stocked.

You must have to get groceries all the time.

[ He chuckles. ]

We have them delivered most days. Sam helps me with those too. [ Since he's hopeless when it comes to such practical things. ]

My parents did all the shopping. I liked going with them, though. They would let me pick out some things.

What would you pick when you did go?

I'd get to pick what cereal and snacks I wanted. And sometimes I'd be able to convince them to let me get candy.

[More like ALL THE TIME. Clem may have some idea of her power.]

[ Frodo grins, aiming the apple core for the trash bin across the room -- and acing it! ]

Well, now that we're both full [ so as not to keep her waiting ] we could pick out what you really want from this kitchen too.

I did that when I first got here. I got sick... [DON'T TELL ARTHUR.]

But a little candy would be okay.

[ He laughs, thinking of the castle and wishes. ]

What is your favorite?

I really like Skittles.

[She'll wish up a bag. :') ]

Do you want some?

I thought to use my wish on you! [ But he'll open up his palm for some. ]

We get more than one wish.

[She taps a few out of the bag and into his palm. Rainbow colors! She pops a few into her mouth, chewing happily because they're so good. She actually hadn't thought to wish them up since she arrived.]
