Well, Paradisa. It's been fun.

Or, well, not fun at all. Actually, living here has been more of a pain than anything I've dealt with in at least a century. Messing with my memories, messing with my emotions, the losses...

I'm out of here. The city's just as bad [ at least, it is if the castle brought you back believing you were a townie- ] so I'll be out at the outpost if anybody needs me... at least until I find a better place.

[ She's about to close the journal, but remembers something at the last second. ] My room's still booby-trapped, by the way. I wouldn't recommend trying to move in just because it's suddenly vacant. Unless you enjoy living life as an ermine.
midget: (Bored... so bored)

[ Have a dictated entry, Paradisa. From a somewhat irate girl. ]

All right, Paradisa. I'm back. Again. Can't you just let me go home?

This time I came back as somebody in town. Because selling magikarp wasn't bad enough? Real great there. I've never had a master, so of course it made me an apprentice. [ All the love. Not. ] Why can't I just arrive like everybody else? Show up one day. Forget the months and months trapped here. Act like I'm completely new. Only lose one thing to the castle.

Ugh.

On the up side, though, I'm not locked in a tower any more. On the down side... If I have a third loss, I swear I'm going to kill something.
midget: (Non it's not like that)

[ There's a clatter and the telltale sound of a journal opening. It opens to some shuffling in the background, and a young girl speaking - although it's slightly muffled, as if wrapped or covered in something. ]

-did it get so dusty? I need a maid... [ Some more shuffling sounds. ] Or a butler. Or at least a few days off so I can clean up...

[ There's a pause, then a sigh. ] Where is that fabric? I didn't put it up top, did I...? Where's that stepladder?

[ After just a moment, then there's a quiet sound of surprise, and- ] Erk...! It's already this late? The master is going to be pissed. [ Hrngh-! ] It's not my fault...!

This fabric will have to do. It's not what she wanted, but... [ The journal is lifted up at this point, wrapped in a few yards of fabric.

Anybody out and about in town might see a familiar blond girl running with some white and pink fabric in her arms. She's dressed up in a fancy dress, even though she was coming from a wood cabin at the edge of some woodlands near the residential district.

Feel free to run into her anywhere in the residential district through her goal, a tailor's shop in the business district, or to spark a conversation over the journal. It's in her bundle of fabric, though she doesn't realize it. ]
midget: (Now you listen to me)
[personal profile] midget
[ A very, very irritated voice is coming from the journal this afternoon. ]

All right. Everybody, pay attention!

If anybody met me at that family reunion, you need to know this. I. Am. Not. Ten.

I'm over six centuries old, and I'm one of the world's most feared and most powerful mages. So whatever you learned about me that week, forget it.

In fact, let's just all pretend that thing never happened!

[ Rin ]

Not a word.

[ Legato ]

Not a word.

[ And then the entire House Sage ]

[ Hrrrrngh... this is the filter she doesn't want to make. But she's at least honorable enough to give it a mention. ]

I... suppose I should at least say a word of thanks. For looking after me while I wasn't myself.

That's all you're going to get.
midget: (I'm lovin' it)

[ Today, Evangeline is by the indoor pool, just chilling in one of those lounging beach chairs. Her journal sits on a table next to her, next to a glass of lemonade, and she dictates into it absently. ]

You know, for once this place is a little bit interesting.

Between people coming back from self-imposed exile, some people having a one-eighty in personality, and this new expedition being planned... I'm actually a little excited. That doesn't happen often. This place is usually so stagnant that it's physically painful.

[ She pauses a moment. ]

That alternate reality thing a while back seemed fairly interesting, too. Unfortunately, I wasn't involved in that.

I hope this place continues being entertaining.

[ ooc: Obviously open in person or via journal. ]

[ Anybody entering the lobby late at night will find a little girl set up there. She has a huge flat-screen TV set up on a wall, a Zboz 1080 set up in front of it, and she's sprawled out on a couch, cordless controller in her hands. She has a huge bowl of Cheetos set up on a coffee table in front of her and an open 12-pack of Paradisa-brand cherry cola.

The logo is a buffalo, if you were wondering.

On the screen is a guy in a futuristic suit of powered armor, vaguely reminiscent of the many Freelancers and future-military guys around the castle. It's set on an obviously alien planet, and the character is running around and shooting aliens.

The journal is open on the table in front of her, picking up the sounds of lasers and aliens screaming and the munching of Cheetos. After a few moments, she speaks up. ]

This game is totally unrealistic. [ Munch, munch. Lasers fire. Aliens die. ] There's not enough explosions.

[ Yeah. Open in person for anybody who wants to watch her play Ring: Stretch, or grab another controller for multiplayer. There is multiplayer, right? Whatever, there is now. Also open over the journal of course, if you'd rather yell at her for being loud and obnoxious over the journal. ]
midget: (Tch!)
[personal profile] midget
All right. I'm curious now.

What exactly is the Danger Room? I know it's a place to train, but not much more beyond that.

If it's interesting, I might want a key, too.
midget: (Shock)
[personal profile] midget
Baby shenanigans )

[ ooc: Yes, the journals were open for the whole thing. The whole. Thing. ]
midget: (Oh so bored)

[ If anybody enters the kitchen today, they'll find a tiny girl sitting on top of a counter and swinging her legs. She has some cookies next to her, but she's working at them pretty slowly. Not like a kid would.

She's a little preoccupied by something that's bothered her lately. After a few minutes, she makes a few filters. ]

[ Anybody who knew her before Unova (i.e. during her first visit) ]

Did I ever talk about my past with any of you?

[ Anybody who's left and come back with memories ]

Did any of you lose something else when you came back?

[ She leaves her journal open, waiting for any replies...

After a few minutes and polishing off the last cookie, she jumps off the counter and heads to the fridge.

What she finds leave her flabbergasted.... so she wishes up a normal piece of paper, scrawls down a note, and leaves it in the fridge. ]

[ ooc: open via journal for peeps who can see the filters, or in person in the kitchen, or via note in the fridge ]

[ To those who frequent the church, there's a little blond girl sitting at one of the pews, flipping through her journal. She speaks up after a few minutes of reading. ]

So I was gone, and then I was selling Magikarp, and now I'm back here. What a pointless endeavor. If you were going to kick me out, Paradisa, why did you bring me back?

[ There's a sigh as she continues. ] It's been about seven or eight years for me. I'm not sure how long I've been gone in Paradisa's timeframe, but it doesn't look like much has changed. [ A small pause. ] Except for my room. I'm fairly certain I was in a different tower. What's the point in giving me a different room? Couldn't I just get my old one back?

Magic castles... no sense of common decency.

[ There's another pause. Longer, this time. Then, added in as an afterthought- ]

Oh, and to those who purchased a Magikarp from me?

I'm not apologizing. You all deserved exactly what you got. Stop being so gullible.

[ Open in person or over the journal, obviously. :|a ]

[ Anybody passing across Skyarrow Bridge, a large suspension bridge connecting Castelia City to the Pinwheel Forest, will find a little blond girl near the foot of the Castelia side.

She seems bored out of her mind, sitting barefooted on the outer edge of the bridge with a fishing pole in her hands. She occasionally brings the line out of the water, showing an orange fish Pokémon - a Magikarp - dangling from it. Then, with a sigh, she lowers it back into the water.

After quite a long while, she finally opens her journal and speaks into it. ]

I normally don't fish. Because it's boring. But this rod was on sale, and I had the extra cash, so I bought it.

So tell me, fishing aficionados, how exactly are you supposed to catch anything? The Pokémon over here are not biting.

[ Then, in a smaller voice, mostly to herself- ]

It might be the bait. Are Magikarp too disgusting even for other Pokémon to want?
