Since when did eveyone become so miserly with mere directions? I simply want to know how to -- would you please cease that at once!

He hurries over, waving, and immediately goes about pantomiming in an attempt to get Edgeworth to follow him.]

For once, it is a relie-- Why are you going on about like that?

[He stops and frowns, pulling a little miniature spiral notebook from his pants pocket and writing on it before ripping out the paper and handing it over.

"Can't talk. Castle took my voice."

And then, again, he's back to the 'follow me' dance.]

...Well, then. I retract my earlier statement. As it was said, this is Paradise.

[THAT MAKES ME SAD
He frowns deeply and hands over another hasty note:

"Be nice for once."]

[Oh God don't give me that face even I have a heart.]


...Surely you'll get it back soon?

[A shrug.

And then more writing:
"I don't think people get back what they've lost very much here."

He fiddles with his badge absently. He so misses the shouting.]

[...Cue a feeling of guilt that even the legendary Phoenix Wright can't exonerate]

[No, he's not going to let this knock him down--he's too happy to have found someone else from home. Even if that someone knows every way to make him feel like crud. And anyway, Edgeworth does seem sorry for it in that silent Edgeworth way. Still, he's left in a funk from the whole exchange.

So he just... changes the subject:

"Maya's here too."]

..Miss Fey? That is rather good to hear. Is there anyone else?

[takethat]

[He shakes his head and holds up three fingers, trying to say 'just the three of us.']

That would be...including myself? I see.

[Scribble scribble...

"You still need a place to sleep."]

...You said something about me possibly having a room earlier.

[This time he thinks for a while, trying to figure out how to shorten this... but he can't think of a thing, so Edgeworth will just have to be patient while he writes for a while.

"The castle almost always provides people with a room. A lot of people show up in their rooms. But since you didn't, I guess the only thing to do is go on a scavenger hunt."]

Very well, then. Seeing as though I am quite unfamiliar with the territory, I will take your lead.

[For a half-second he thinks about grabbing Edgeworth by the hand to facilitate better leading, and then he remembers who he's dealing with here--this isn't Maya!--and stops himself. Instead he just beckons the other man on, for the long... rather arduous task of strolling the first floor of rooms and peering at the names on the plates outside each one, looking for "Miles Edgeworth."

It's not a good plan, but it's some plan?]

...Is there not a receptionist or anything of the sort that we can ask?

[He looks back over his shoulder and shakes his head. No, Edgey, he doesn't have a clue how people usually do this, but he's heard of a few mad searches for a room, so... well, that's the best he can come up with.]

[Cue a hand from behind gripping Phoenix's shoulder.]

[He looks back again, tilting his head a little like a puppy]

This is not m thing. Bear with me.

...M-My apologies. For my insolence earlier...

[He blinks a few times.



And for just a moment, produces quite the little pout before hauling out his notepad once again:
"Thank you for the apology--it's really okay."]
