rose: come to
[Waking up to the stark lights of a clinic is never a totally pleasant experience, and after spending precisely a year aboard a meteor in the time since she last recalls seeing Paradisa, it takes Rose several minutes to fully realize her surroundings. In fact, once she finally comes around, it occurs to her that maybe she never left at all. The meteor might have been some elaborate dream, induced by a bump on the head.
But if that were the case, she would not still be in her god tier garb.
The situation becoming completely clear to her, Rose reaches for the journal. She has no idea how long she's been out, and finding that out is the first matter of business.]
... Brushing aside the film cliche of this inquiry - would someone mind telling me what the date is?

I would like to speak with you if you have the time.

Rose
You're awake?
Kanaya
Rose
I've been checking on you every day since you lost consciousness. I'm... really sorry for what I did. It was not my intention at all.
Kanaya
It wasn't your fault, Kanaya. In fact, I would actually like to thank you.
Rose
Thank me?

Okay. Oh, hey, I don't know if you heard, but some folks are out at this tower testing magic wards for the outpost. It's the last day, but did you want to join in?
no subject
Ah. On any other day, I would love to. I don't think it would be advisable at the moment, however.

... Why? Is something wrong?
