Day One: Party!

[it's the summer solstice and a huge group of demigods safely made it to camp. This is clearly a good omen for things to come. The camp is alive with music and dancing. The satyrs are jamming on their lutes and the tree nymphs come out of the trees to dance. Everybody's invited!

The party will go on long into the night. It's all for you guys, so have a blast!]

( Annabeth is sitting near the fire, elbows on her knees and chin in her palms, frowning. she should be happy to be somewhere familiar, but she can't stop wondering what the heck is going on for them to be here in the first place.

oh well, at least she can enjoy it for the time being. maybe she'd go look for Chiron later. )

Is there something the matter, Annabeth?

( she lifts her gaze and looks to Hestia. oh right — gosh, how is it that she always goes unnoticed? )

Oh, well... ( after a moment she finds herself frowning. ) it's just a little 'too good to be true' is all.

[she's just that amazing. Or something. Anyway, she gives Annabeth a sad smile]

Yes, it is.

( she frowns at the sadness )

Do... You know what's going on?

The camp is a bit overzealous in accepting new campers.

This is a vast amount of new campers. Almost doesn't seem right, don't you think?

No, it isn't right. But this is not an ordinary situation.

Is this some plan of the Gods?

I doubt Artemis would plan to allow men in her cabin.

Ah, well. Fair point... ( with that she glances at some of the Artemis men. ) ...never thought about that. I have been wondering about Hera's "children," though.

[camphalf_blood]

Hera has been known to patron demigods, but I have never seen one allowed in her cabin before. It's as if some other magic is at work here.

[bornofwisdom]

Mm, that's what I mean. I've never seen it with anyone in there before, it's... interesting. ( and she hopes it's insulting to her, too. because forget that lady, really. )

[sosweet]

[ Annabeth. You‘re being watched by a stranger who‘s a bit far away from her spot. There‘s just something in her that feels... quite familiar, and yet different.

Saga can‘t help but stare at the girl as discreet as possible. ]

( and she'll just continue to sit there for some time longer, staring into the fire, wondering about what's going on and if this whole thing has been a trick of the Gods or not.

she does, however, glance up after a while — getting one of those feelings that people get when someone is watching them. gray eyes looking around, she shakes her head gently at not immediately seeing someone looking her way. )

Weird... ( it's muttered. )

[sosweet]

[ Okay. Now he feels he‘s being rude by stalking her so he heads towards Annabeth and sits next to her. ]

I apologize. It was me.

[bornofwisdom]

( knocked from her thoughts, she raises her brows at him. )

Oh, no it's okay.

[sosweet]

[ Ah! Her eyes... What a contrast between his blue-emerald ones and hers. ]

You really are deep in thought.

[bornofwisdom]

Oh, I... yeah, I kind of do that sometimes. ( she smiles a bit sheepishly ) Sorry — you must be new here. ( here? here where? Cair Paradisa or Camp Half-Blood? ugh, she feels so awkwardly lost.

after a moment, though, she's blushing because he's sort of staring at her and she's never been the type of girl to know what to do in that kind of situation. maybe if she had been a daughter of Aphrodite and not Athena, boys wouldn't take her by surprise so much. )

[sosweet]

[ Nods. ] I‘ve been told this could be temporary.

[ Notices the blushing and startles at what he‘s doing. Saga... you never learn in how to hide it.

And for that, he looks away. ]

I‘m sorry.

I'd almost rather it be permanent. This is home for me, not Paradisa.

( crap, she didn't mean to get another apology out of him. just made the embarrassment all the more strong, and she blushed more )

N, no it's okay, I'm just not really that amazing with... Anyway. What's your name? ( YEP time for a subject change )

[sosweet]

[ A saddened chuckle. This wasn‘t home for him. This wasn‘t his beloved Sanctuary he missed so much but didn‘t dare to admit it nor to come back. Somehow, this camp relates and the cabin is a reminder of what his Goddess means to him...

He tries to ease the situation with a gentle smile. ]

I am Saga. And yours?

Annabeth. ( she nods to him with a smile of her own. )

I guess it's sort of selfish to hope it's permanent. This isn't very many other people's home — so I suppose I'll say I wish it would vanish for the others, and stay real for me. ( and maybe Percy. )

Where are you from?

[sosweet]

[ He gazes at the fire. ] There is nothing wrong with being selfish. You miss this place, as many others miss theirs. I can see your intentions are good and you don‘t want the rest of campers to feel uncomfortable.

It is hard to accept it will be gone soon.

[ And turns back at her, considering for a moment in his reply. ]

My home is the Sanctuary of Goddess Athena, near the surroundings of Athens. I am one of her warriors, a Saint.

I should be happy. I should be enjoying having it for now, but instead I'm just... moping, because I know it's not forever. ( it's not even really real. )

You're— ( her eyes widen with shock. ) You're one of my mom's warriors?!

( annnnd it's out of her mouth before she can stop herself. crap. )
