1/012: We are frienemies. [Dated back to a day before Larry's date kk]

[Wheatley and GLaDOS would be in the kitchen, conversing casually on the first day of their one week truce. That's right everyone, these two psychopaths are actually on a truce. Meaning that they are not going to kill each other or endanger any of the residents of Paradisa.

Wheatley and GlaDOS would be digging through one of the cabinets, looking for a pan... this place really needed to be labeled out. This truce wasn't even a forced one. Spirits would be content, and would even hold an air of amusement.]

"Hmmm... let's see- let's see. Gonna need a pan. Those are important, and... and some eggs. You need eggs to make eggs... oh and some of that... that yellow stuff."

"Of course you need eggs to make eggs, moron."

"Not a moron."

[She would bite back "moron"; that word came too easily. After searching through the cabinets, GLaDOS would eventually find some butter in the fridge, taking it out and offering it to Wheatley.]

"H-how about those little round cakes? Those can't be that difficult to make..."


[Shocked friends of GLaDOS and Wheatley, feel free to barge in on this and ask what the heck is going on!]

"Yep. Humans really have nothing better else to do with their time. But make cakes."

[The Cashier gives him a bit of a glare. He sees it, and puts his head down apologetically.]

"Uh... right. So... uh, so which one do you want?"

"If you get cupcakes, you can try more than one, ma'am."

[The Cashier says that distastefully. She's annoyed with these two. Probably the human comment.]

[ GLaDOS sighs. He was definitely good at getting on people's bad sides. Not like she was going to apologize on his behalf, though. She straightened up and pointed to a chocolate cake. ]

Could I have this one? [ She inquires the cashier, wanting straight-up cake. Nope. Not cupcakes.

She looked up at Wheatley curiously. ] Are you taking one?

[wheatdos]

[He slowly approaches the counter.]

"Uhhhh... yes. I'll have one...


...


...of each."

[The Cashier looks at him, shocked.]

"Uhhh... okay..."

[Swag.]

[sawadeertoday]

... That's going to be a lot of cake. [ she comments blankly, a bit shocked. GLaDOS wondered if he could even finish all of that cake, considering the sheer amount of types there was.

Then again, human males did eat more than females, but still... ]

[wheatdos]

[He nods.]

"Yeah it is. Haven't even seen half of them too."

[He looks at her.]

"...Yoooooou'll try it all with me, won't you?"

[So that's what this was all about...]

[ Oh.

Oh. That was what this was all about.

Not like it was a bad realization. She couldn't help but smile.

He was being such a considerate friend. It was odd. Not a bad kind of odd, though. ]

Alright. I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat it all, though.

[wheatdos]

"Neither will I. Well-- actually... maybe I could. Maybe."

[He puts his hands in his lab coat, scratching the back of his leg with his foot. Note the fact he looks uneasy. He really doesn't know what he's doing and he's trying... really hard.]

"Uhh... we can sit somewhere...! Oh. Over there. We can sit over there."

[He just points to a random seat.]

[ He's doing well, though. GLaDOS nods, but doesn't go there yet. ] You'll need help carrying all of those cakes.

[ She's a lot more relaxed now that they're indoors, and she was a little touched still by him ordering all of those cakes. Just so that she could try them. ]

[wheatdos]

"Pfft, no I can do it. No problem. I'm quite strong, love."

[Oh... right. He didn't think about how much cake that was... wow. The Cashier began stacking cake slice after cake slice on the counter. Wheatley let out a gasp of disbelief... when they got to the 14'th cake.]

"Alright... alright. Maybe I will need you."

[He's a little thankful she's there. He wonders if GLaDOS can tell that he didn't properly think this through.]

Of course you do. You don't want to drop this, do you?

[ GLaDOS grabs a pile of the containers, the stack reaching up to her head as she carefully headed towards the table he had pointed out earlier.

She can tell he wasn't really thinking, but the gesture was still well-intentioned. ]

[When they had everything set up, he began to open each and everyone one of the boxes. As he's doing that... he clears his throat awkwardly.]

"Oh...uh, so uh... what do you think of this? How's it feel being outside? Are you...um, well having fun is what I'm trying to get at..."

[It sounds really weird when he says that. Worse so cause it's GLaDOS. This is a lot of pressure on him. Does she even know how to have fun? He considers that she might not.]

[ She would be curiously looking at the boxes, before just trying to sit and relax.

The question makes her chuckle a little. He was too nervous. Although it would be good for the future, they were friends for the week, weren't they? ]

I'm having a good time. You decided to get me cake. [ Hesitantly, she added: ] I'm pretty certain being considerate is part of what a friendship is. So you're doing fine.

[ She wondered if she was being considerate enough. Being a friend was a difficult job. Having to think about appeasing pathetic human feelings. Although they were becoming less pathetic and more real to her. ]

[wheatdos]

[He nods a few times, and stops when he finally reaches the one she ordered. The chocolate. He... picks up one of the forks.]

"Okay! So close your eyes! No peeking either. I'll know if you do."

[ ...? She's genuinely confused. ]

Alright?

[ But after the awkward acquiescence, she closes her eyes. ]

[wheatdos]

[He stands up, scoops up some of the chocolate cake with the fork and quickly walks around the table beside her. He'd crouch so he was a little below her level, putting one hand at her chin to turn her head, and using the other to place the fork in her mouth.

Chocolate.]

"...Ok-okay, how is it? Is it good? Great? Terrible?"

[ALL THE VULTURE PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE CAKERY RAISE THEIR HEADS.]

[ She would be a bit surprised, but would take the piece of cake into her mouth and chew it.

Oh.

That was delicious!

She swallowed the piece and opened her eyes. ]

It was great. [ She's a little bewildered by how close he was suddenly, but she was more amazed by the cake. ] ... Which one was it?

[wheatdos]

"Chocolate. Haven't tasted it yet--"

[A camera flash.]

"Huh?"

[He's caught a little off guard. A Photographer comes up to them.]

"You two are by far the most romantic couple I have seen to ever come eat here! Can I take your picture?"

[She did already, didn't she?]

[ .............. What even.

The camera flash catches her off guard, too, and she frowns at the human. ]

We're not a couple. [ That's all she has to say. Well, besides: ] Besides, why would you want a picture of people you don't know?

[wheatdos]

"..."

[Oh, she's got this one. He's just going to let GLaDOS take this one over. Just going to slink back to his seat. Sitting there. Watching very quietly so that no one can bring him up into this.

A COUPLE. Oh god no. Never. Not with a monster like her.]

"Oh... you're not? I had no idea. You two seemed so-...uhh..."

[Oh god GLaDOS you're intimidating the photographer. It's like Aperture all over again.]

[ Oh, GLaDOS has got this. Don't worry. She stands up, crossing her arms. ]

Well, clearly you have issues with seeing. It must be your fat eye-lids, covering your stupid eyes. Either that, or you really must have no social life if you're going around taking pictures of other humans'. Just so you can go home and cry over how sad your life is, because you aren't likeable enough to attract any positive attention. Or rather, any attention at all.

[ She's on a ROLL. Have a smug smirk that had somehow wormed its way on her face in the midst of her rant. ]

[wheatdos]

"Um... love..?"

[A very feeble voice... He just... mutters it. It's almost like he doesn't really want GLaDOS to hear him.]

"Love..."

[Oh screw it. Not going to say a thing. The photographer on the other hand, looks as if she's about to cry.]

"...You're... you're awful!"

Awful? [ She sounds genuinely amused. GLaDOS has too much fun making people feel worthless okay, and it's good therapy considering how awkward and frustrated she's been feeling as of late. ] The truth is an awful thing. I just figured you might as well know it. It's all facts.

[ Ohhh this is great. She's almost glad that stupid human came to them in the first place. Almost. ]

Now, if you could leave me and my friend to our social life. The thing you're desperately lacking.

[wheatdos]

[Her eyes wells up, and she runs away crying.]

...

[A pause.]

"Well... that...."

[Another pause.]

"Could have gone loads better."

I think that went wonderfully. Now none of those idiots will bother us anymore. [ She seems a bit too gleeful.

She tries to tone it down though. ]

Now, we can continue with this cake. Which is amazing, by the way. [ Happy happy happy. ]

[wheatdos]

[At least she's happy. He recognizes it immediately!]

"O-oh! Right!"

[He opens another one. This one is a classic angel cake.]

"You sounded like yourself for a moment, b-back in the lab y'know. Close your eyes, love."

[He laughs a little nervously, and then scoops up the angel cake.]
