[It's a beautiful morning, shaping up to be a hot and humid day, as so many summer days at the Blind Buffalo Resort are. The piles and piles of people arriving in their cars to check in at the modest front office make it a noisy morning too, full of chatter and greetings from those who have long been apart. There isn't enough room in the office for everyone, so there's spillover of the crowd to outside, and a noise crowd jammed inside the room.

I've been busy with college and stuff, sorry I didn't call or something... [He's not sure he should have, hmm.]

Anyway... How are you?

You should be. What's your major? Do you have a roommate? As your Uncle I need to know these things.

And I am doing well. I am a principle yet again for the season.

Mechanical engineering. And yeah I do, I actually invited him but he couldn't make it. [That makes him sad! But doesn't say much about that, simply shows in his voice.]

Huh, good? Which play? [He might not really care but... hey. Small talk...]

The first one for the season is The Firebird - or at least, our playwright's version of it. I'm playing the Firebird.

And mechanical engineering? It sounds interesting. What do you plan to do with it when you graduate?

I think you've liked him, everybody likes him. His name is Zack. He had his own family reunion thing to attend to. [And he's chatty there, huh?]
