[It's a beautiful morning, shaping up to be a hot and humid day, as so many summer days at the Blind Buffalo Resort are. The piles and piles of people arriving in their cars to check in at the modest front office make it a noisy morning too, full of chatter and greetings from those who have long been apart. There isn't enough room in the office for everyone, so there's spillover of the crowd to outside, and a noise crowd jammed inside the room.

[ GLaDOS let his lips brush against hers, her eyelids fluttering closed as he kissed her, returning the gesture. ]

Mm. [ she made that slight 'mm' in agreement. ] I have a feeling it'll get hectic, though. So it's nice to have some time alone.

[wheatdos]

I like it though. The family together. It's nice. Everyone... being together.

[He's staring off somewhere. Something is distracting him... somewhere off into the water?

[sawadeertoday]

[ Annd GLaDOS frowns at him before turning to look at what he might be looking at. ]

... Is there something over there?

[wheatdos]

How would you feel...

[He's grinning.]

If...if we went for a swim?

[sawadeertoday]

[ ...........

What.

GLaDOS looks at him like he grew a second head. ]

... Are you serious?

[wheatdos]

Yeah! Not a bad idea. Right here, right now. No ones even around, so--

[He begins to untie his tie.]

you'll be okay! You'll love it, I'm telling you.

[sawadeertoday]

[ ...

She just... doesn't even know, okay. She watches him untie his tie; this was spur-of-the-moment, even by his standards.

But... She hesitated before removing her blue long-sleeved shirt. ]

Fine.

[ and then quieter: ] I can't believe I'm doing this.

[wheatdos]

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... That's the spirit, love!

[He pulls off his lab coat, and begins to unbutton his shirt.]

May seem a little crazy. Maybe. But It is a vacation, iznit?

[sawadeertoday]

[ She is still wondering what she's doing as she unbuttons her pants, pulling them off. ]

How does it being a vacation make swimming in a lake randomly at night any more valid?

[ she asks, feeling a little embarrassed about the whole ordeal. ]

[wheatdos]

[Huh... he thinks about it as he removes his shirt, and unbuttons his pants as well.]

Huh, you know...

[He removes his pants, taking off his shoes and socks quickly as well.]

I don't know! Guess it doesn't if you think about it.

[sawadeertoday]

[ She pulls off her shoes and socks as well, finally ready. ]

Well, I'm still doing it.

For some reason.

[ She suddenly has that tone in her voice. Second-guessing her odd decision. ]

[wheatdos]

[She was taking a chance. A risk. She was never known for being much of a risk taker, and it made him laugh. He stands up, removes his boxers, and in one swift move, he jumps into the lake.

There were a few loud splashes, and he began laughing.]

AHHH..Ahahaha! Oh my GOD. It's FREEZING love!

[He watched her, laughing still.]

Are you-are you coming?

[sawadeertoday]

[ GLaDOS hesitated, standing up and curling her toes a bit in embarrassment.

But she couldn't just stand there like an idiot. She had made a choice; she was going to go through with it. Even if it was dumb, GLaDOS wasn't known for only going half-way.

So, she took a breath before jumping as well, her whole body tensing at the sudden cold as she quickly swam up to the surface, letting out a gasp. ]

Wh-Why did I even agree to this, [ she stuttered in the cold, treading the water. ]

[fistfullofmagic]

[Dhaos had gone out to stargaze. It was a nice night, and he just couldn't sleep very well in this heat. Thus he defaulted to heading into the night with naught but a telescope and the clothes he wore to bed; the moon is rather bright this evening after all.

The lake shore was a good spot to set up since it was a wide open space away from any obstructions to his view of the sky. Now though, Dhaos has begun to regret that decision a little, or at the very least, the decision to turn his head to see what the splashing was about. He makes a slight choking noise that sounds much louder than it would during daylight hours.]

[wheatdos]

Shhhhshhhshh...! Pffftt!!

[He swam closer to her, laughing. He was freezing, just by speaking you could tell he was shivering.]

C-cold iznit? Hahaha...! Woah! That is refreshing though...

[He pressed his forehead against hers, pulling her into a hug. For a moment, everything felt perfect, and he was bold enough to think that there was nothing that could ruin this moment. It looked like he was going to kiss her again, when suddenly--

Well bloody hell.

Wheatley is staring dumbfoundedly at Dhaos, who is standing there. Staring at... them.]

[sawadeertoday]

[ GLaDOS let herself be pulled close, her own teeth chattering a little from the cold. Clearly, this wasn't the best idea... although it was ridiculously amusing, so she was about to smile when she heard the loud choking noise. Well, not loud, it was just that it was a ridiculously quiet night.

So she turned and stared in horror.

Oh. God.

Her face goes red.

Why did it have to be Dhaos!? ]

[fistfullofmagic]

[For a moment all is still. Then, very slowly, Dhaos turns back to his telescope and carefully begins to disassemble it and stow it back in its bag. Once finished, he turns again and heads back to the cabin with all the grace and dignity he can manage in his current injured and mentally scarred state.

He returns to bed and lies staring at the ceiling, desperately hoping that the image will have disappeared from his brain enough that he will be able to sleep by the time his face ceases to imitate a tomato.]

[wheatdos]

[A long silence. He just watched Dhaos pack up, without a word. In fact, he didn't say anything till he was long gone. He... wasn't sure what exactly.. he should do in this situation]

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo uh...

[Wheatley, sloooooowwwlllyyy turns his head to look back at GLaDOS.]

So I guess this ...uh, probably means that... we can't make out. Well, this is awkward... oh! Un-unless you're still up for it... then, by all means... don't let me stop you.

[sawadeertoday]

[ GLaDOS did similarly, just watching and waiting until Dhaos was gone for awhile.

She would turn to him once he spoke, her face still completely red....... so she hid it in his bare shoulder, making a small, exasperated, why did this have to happen to ME groan. ]

... The damage is already done... [ she muttered. He could take that however he wanted to, but GLaDOS was not sure she wanted to do much of anything at the moment but be embarrassed. Wheatley probably felt how hot her face was compared to his cold skin. ]

I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING.

[wheatdos]

[He hugs her when she buries her face in his shoulder, clearing his throat awkwardly. Everything was going well. Pretty well, and now he is, hugging his embarrassed wife with the blankest face a man could have.

Though that 'the damage is done' sounded like a positive response...]

Hey...! It's okay. He didn't see anything...saw nothing. Besides I'm sure he'll-he'll forget about it by morning. It'll be a completely new day. Probably won't even know it happen. Think it was a dream.

/SOBBING

[ She knew Dhaos likely wasn't going to forget, even if Wheatley's words sort of comforted her enough to eventually remove her face from his shoulder, still kind of red. This was possibly the worst. She had gone along with one of his ideas, and someone had seen her. Them.

She knew that if there was one thing on their side, it was that the man was not a blabbermouth. Although GLaDOS still was totally embarrassed regardless... he was her brother. ]

L-Let's at least get out of the water before we freeze to death. I don't know about you, but I don't want to have a cold the entire time I'm here.

[Wheatley couldn't hide his confusion. He was sure that if that had been Nick or Larry, they would have just left, and shrugged it off as if it never happened. He simply couldn't understand what there was to be embarrassed about. It was clear that GLaDOS's family was nothing like his. He nodded slowly, a bit hesitantly, wondering if she was mad at him.]

...Uh.... right! Okay... not a- a problem.

[Can you hear the apologetic tone? He isn't trying to hide it. He honestly thought this was a good idea, yep...]

[ GLaDOS just felt a massive wave of embarrassment, regardless. Even if it would have been Maya, who likely would've made a playful remark and left to clear the obvious tension, she would have likely felt the same... Even if Dhaos would be a bit more awkward about it. Even if the damage was done, there were a lot of people in these cabins. The realization had only really come after they had been noticed, and it was kind of nervewracking.

She does feel a bit sorry for him, though, although her most pressing concern was getting somewhere hidden to dry off. So she grabbed for the side of the boat, being careful not to put lots of weight on it, and she would pull it along. She was not about to try getting back in it and ruining her dry clothes. ]

We'll worry about warming up once we're out of the water. [ she mumbled, glancing at him. ]

[He follows after her, crawling into the boat as well. He had to admit though, talking to Dhaos was going to be moderately more difficult. He pulled up his clothes and began to put them back on. He's stillvlaughing though.]

I'll be honest. didn't think you'd do it.

[sawadeertoday]

[ She shivers when a particularly bad breeze hits, her whole body shaking and fingers a little numb from the cold as she pulled her shirt on first, reaching for her pants. ]

W-Well, I d-d-did. Happy? [ she stuttered as she pulled on her pants, fingers fumbling with the button for awhile before managing to tie it. ] N-now I'm going to freeze to death. Good job.
