[It's a beautiful morning, shaping up to be a hot and humid day, as so many summer days at the Blind Buffalo Resort are. The piles and piles of people arriving in their cars to check in at the modest front office make it a noisy morning too, full of chatter and greetings from those who have long been apart. There isn't enough room in the office for everyone, so there's spillover of the crowd to outside, and a noise crowd jammed inside the room.

[ She's really trying not to laugh, Maya... so instead, she lets out a fake cough to stifle the urge and places Maya's bags beside her, starting to open them to unpack. ]

So how have you been lately?

Good! I changed my major again... I just wasn't really feeling journalism anymore.

[she says 'again', because this is literally the fourth time this has happened]

[ To be honest, GLaDOS is getting used to hearing this. Although it's still a bit of a surprise. ] Really? Again? What are you in now?

[ It seemed like every time they met, she would change major... ]

[optimystic]

I'm thinking occult studies! It's not exactly a major, but I think if I study anthropology and do that weird make-your-own-major thing, I can make it work.

[ She raises an eyebrow at her as she starts neatly folding things and stowing them in Maya's drawers. ]

Occult studies? [ She's all about Science, so it truly bewilders her. ] Whatever made you want to pick that?

[optimystic]

Doesn't it just sound interesting? I know science is our family thing, but I've never been very good at science. So, I suddenly realized that I was looking at all the inside-the-box sciences, when I really needed to expand my horizons!

It sounds alright. Tell me how it goes, though.

[ Hm... to be honest, she wasn't extremely interested, considering she didn't really look outside Science... but it could prove to be interesting to hear about. Maya was rather talkative, after all... she liked hearing about what she was up to. ]

Something weird like that just might be your calling. [ Totally not implying that you're weird. ]

[optimystic]

Exactly! I'm glad you understand. I was sure Dhaos would think it was cool, but I was worried you were going to get all bossy about it.

[teasing, really.....]

[ She gives Maya a gentle shove on the shoulder, with a smirk. ] Clearly, you don't know your older sister as much as you think you do.

[ Although to be fair, she had loosened up a lot more with those close to her after getting together with the moron. ]

[heheh, she laughs at that, but she does look happy. She knows that Wheatley is a good influence on GLaDOS in a few ways, it's just funny to see it first hand]

It's true! Maybe I'll have to carry out a full fledged investigation to find out what changed.

[ GLaDOS can't help but let out a little laugh. ]

You make it sound like it's a bad thing, [ she teased back as she folded another shirt, stowing it neatly away.

To be honest, she found herself often feeling uneasy about these subtle changes, but at the same time, it was a lot more liberating. ]

[Maya makes a 'pft' noise and flops back at the bed she claimed. Unpacking........ she can do that later, haha]

When did I say that? I think it's a good thing, you two are a really cute couple.

[ GLaDOS pauses in the unpacking to sit on the edge of the bed, coughing behind a hand to hide her flushing cheeks. ]

You really think so.

Of course! He's all tall and silly, you're short and grumpy, it's a perfect match!
