I have some news that's ridiculously unimportant in the big scheme of Paradisa Announcements, but it's been enough years that I think I can be happy to say that I got a promotion!

I won't bore anyone with the details of why [ because they involve a death that happened awhile back and that's just a debbie downer ] but I've been acting as temporary assistant-manager at the restaurant for awhile now, and they were supposed to find a replacement. But the acting manager admitted to not wanting to be in that position, since they had originally just been assisting.

So I'm now officially the manager of Il Cappricio. ...Like I said, it's not a big deal, but I'm celebrating anyway. If anyone wants to come by the restaurant tonight, drinks are on me. I'll be here late finishing up the paperwork, anyway.

Well, I used to co-own a coffee shop in Smallville, so I guess this can't really be called a 'step up'. And for here, the important business involves keeping people from dying on a regular basis.

So really it...isn't as big of a deal as it might be for a normal person in a normal world.
