Sounds like a good idea. He's been getting spoiled with attention lately. One of the kids in the castle never gets tired of playing with him.

[She gets up, putting the chair back in its proper place and grabbing Ace's leash.]

You wanna do the honors?

[You can walk the giant dog, Tim. He'll be a good distraction if things get awkward.]

[dorkwonder]

Sure.

[Takes the leash from her, moving over to Ace. Grins as he watches his tail wag back and forth. No matter how well trained a dog is, there is no resisting the call of a walk.]

Where did Ace comes from? Someone's world or here?

A future Gotham. Ace is pretty badass. He jumped the Joker, when he was here.

[She scratches him behind the ear, but Ace is too focused on that leash to pay her much attention.]

[Attaches the leash onto Ace's collar, then he heads to the door.]

Ace didn't go back with Bruce?

[Opens up the door, holding it for her.]

Nope. He's been here for a good two years.

[She steps out into the hallway.]

Animals seem to stick around for some reason.

[dorkwonder]

Hm.

[Stares at Ace curiously. Somehow he doubts the animals experience any losses when they come here. Unless whoever is behind Paradisa is a jerk, and decides to take away Ace's ability to play fetch or something.]

Do you think it's because they can't take anything from them?

[Closes the door behind him and joins her in the hallway.]

I have no idea. I've never noticed anything off about him, and Bruce and Terry never said anything. He's just like any other dog that can roll around with villains like the rest of us.

[She'll lead the way downstairs.]

Stuff and pets just accumulate a lot. I have a lot of Kara's old clothes from the last time she was here.

--don't tell her that, though. It's creepy.

I wont. Although you could pass them over to her.

[Pauses.]

Do you have any of my stuff from all the different times I was here?

[secondchances]

I'm waiting for her to realize what's in my closet isn't entirely my style. She's in there half the time, anyway.

[She gives him a look, half playful.]

What do you think I am, some creepy hoarder making shrines to the people who have come and gone?

[More seriously:]

But no. None of your stuff.

You never know, I've heard this place does strange things to people.

[Grins.]

All of my stuff is gone?

[Actually disappointed to hear this. Having more clothes options, some of his gadgets, and various other things would be handy.]

Yup. There are probably some things shoved away in the Batroom, but nothing astounding or entertaining, even.

Hm, I'll have to check it out and see what I can rummage up. I have an interview set up for a magic store.

[If that pans out, he'll have some income and have some money to buy things to tinker with.]

Alvin's gonna be living the dream.

He is. In the next couple of days he's going to check and see if the library has any Warlocks and Warriors books.

I don't know, that sounds awfully like something Tim Drake would do.

Tim and Alvin can come some hobbies in common. You know, W&W is also great for team building.

[Just putting that out there.]

[She tries to not make a face. No, this is... good. This is him reaching out. She should jump at the opportunity to... uh... be wizards or something and build a common hobby with him that isn't punching people.]

Is... that something you'd really want to do?

[dorkwonder]

[Shrugs his shoulders.]

Alvin needs to make some public appearances, or at least do something other than wander and read books. It beats some of the alternatives.

[And it would be fun to play it again. It's been so long.]

How easy is it to pick up?

[dorkwonder]

Usually it takes a few sessions to get a feel for it. I'd be merciful and not send any dire creatures after your character right away.

If mercy is the name of the game, I guess you can sign me up.

And Kara.

[She gets no say! Steph makes and exaggerated "brr" noise as they reach the outside. Ah, snow. So pretty, yet so cold. At least it's easy to find Ace in all of it.]

Is it okay to let him off his leash and run around for a bit?

[She laughs.] We're still tackling Scrabble and Operation. We'll save the roleplaying stuff for later.

He'll be fine.

[Takes the leash off and lets Ace run around to his heart's content.]

Do you have a job here?

[Misfortune, you have the best timing.]

I've been waitressing at a restaurant in the city. It passes the time.

[And pays off the debt she has to Lana for breaking her wine bottles. Whoops.]
