Normally I'd start asking questions about Earth and what sick minds think up places like that, but you know what? Nah. This time I'm gonna spare you guys. Because sometimes ignorance is bliss!

So! How about instead we all agree never to talk about those three days again, hm? I won't even point out which ones of you aged terribly! Consider it a free pass from your benevolent and great Zelos Wilder!

Well...walking gets me most places anyway so what's the point?

No. [ Arya looks at him like he's crazy. ] It's cold out.

[wilder]

Yeah, and I bet the ceiling in here doesn't go that high.

Who is stupid enough to fly in a room? There's nowhere to go.

Well being called a crab forever is hardly that desirable...

If you don't like it, you know what to do. It will be spring soon. Rabbit says spring is a time for new things. [ Beginnings. Things. Same diff. ]

Rabbit?

- Hey! Is he the only talking rabbit around?

[wolfchild]

I hope so. [ Or she would need better filters. ] I think he's the only talking animal actually. Well. [ She grabs Zelos' shoulder to get a brief respite. She rests her chin on it. ] Winter talks, but it's not the same. He just mimics.

We tried to break out of that queer place, him and me, before I found you. That's when I got hurt.

[ Arya briefly waves the arm she had showed Zelos in the nursing home before grabbing on with both hands again. She kisses his shoulder. ]

Winter? Whose Winter again?

[You have far too many animals to ever hope to keep track of, he'll move his shoulder down a little so it's easier for her to rest on]

So that's how that happened. I had wondered about it.

[wolfchild]

[ She has two, the raven and the unicorn! That's all! Nymeria doesn't even count in this because direwolf. ]

Winter is my raven. I found him in my room one day. I think it was that day the castle brings in something from home. He's one of the white ravens of the Citadel. They're only ever sent out with the really important messages. Like when the seasons change. I got him in winter and he's completely white—except for his eyes, those are black—so I named him Winter. I like it too because I'm not entirely sure if he's a girl raven or a boy raven, but Winter works for both.

[And Rabbit, and you pretty much adopted Curry into your fold too]

Wow...he sounds pretty cool! I had no idea ravens could even be white.

[wolfchild]

[ ...okay yeah those two. plus zelos himself I mean /cough. ]

I'll show him to you one day! I'm trying to get him to deliver messages. He's been trained already, but I never worked with the ravens so I don't know what to do. Mother would never have let me near the maester's turret and even if I could get past the guards at Harrenhal Weese would flayed me alive for shirking my chores.

You'd like him. He's big. [ She shows an estimate with her hands. ] He already says my name. If he starts telling you "corn," ignore him. He'd spend all day eating if I let him.

[wilder]

[Sob it's so true. He laughs]

I can't say I can help you there, we never used messenger ravens in Tethe'alla- but maybe some other world can help you out!

I'd like to meet him! And don't worry, I've gotten very good at ignoring begging animals.

[wolfchild]

Like you? [ She pokes his forehead. ] Take us back to shore, crab.

[wilder]

Heeeey! I am not a begging animal!

[wolfchild]

[ Mimicking his tone: ] But you whiiiiine more than ooooone.

[wilder]

That's a whiiine! Not begging!

[wolfchild]

It's just as annoyiiiiiing.

[wilder]

No waaaaaaay.

[wolfchild]

To the beach!

[wilder]

Oh right.

[Fiiiine, he'll wait for you to have a good hold and start swimming back....slowly :x ]
