So should men stop to ask women every time, "are you capable of defending yourself?" instead of making an assumption? Better that than assume that they are perfectly fine, I think.

Men and women should all defend each other equally.

Easier said than put in practice, madonna, especially if men in your time still look to protect women. Does that not say that it is natural for men to look out for the safety of their women?

Or that it is a behavior that has been ingrained for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.

That's as good as nature, then, is it not?

Not if it is predicated on the idea that women are lesser than men.

I suppose that is true, but difficult to accept.

Why is that difficult for you to accept?

Because I have been told the opposite for my entire life. After 28 years, even if what I am hearing makes sense, it does not match what I have been told all along.

Imagine someone came to you and told you that North was up and South was down. You'd have trouble believing it, no?

I would not, because North is up, and South is down. [what, ezio. what are you talking about.]

But if someone presented me with information contradictory to something I have always known one way, I would think about why my beliefs are what they are. Why, exactly, do you believe that women are less than men?

And I am considering these things. I have known many incredible women through my life and do not wish to believe they are lesser than men, but the Church and God have been our only authority on why women are capable of less. Virtually every man, woman and child in our society knows that women were not baked enough in the womb, and so they are weaker than man.

What does that even mean, "not baked enough"? Pregnancy is nine months, give or take, regardless of the baby's sex.

Yes, but if there is not enough heat, the baby will be a girl.

They are used by everyone, and North is up. And what? I have heard many stupid things in my time, but "not enough heat" is easily among the most stupid. Sex is determined by the chromosomes in the sperm that fertilizes the egg. The woman has absolutely nothing to do with it.

[He's kind of annoyed. He doesn't like being patronized over shit he couldn't possibly understand. Basically the only thing he understood in there is "fertilization", because that's how women get pregnant. Men plant their seed in women's bodies.]

I do not know what "sex" is in that context, but I presume you mean whether they are man or woman. I also do not know what chomosones are, nor sperm, nor do I know what egg you are referring to. Women are not chickens in my time.

[WELL THEN MAYBE HE SHOULDN'T TALK ABOUT SHIT HE COULDN'T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND huffhuffhuff. Molotov also doesn't know very much about Renaissance-era science, so she's not sure what he might have knowledge of. That won't stop her from arguing, though!]

Oh my god, are you a child? Women's eggs, their half of the baby.

I'm far from being a child, but I know that women don't lay eggs. And what do they contribute other than fertile space to grow a man's seed in?

[This is Molotov right now. She doesn't even know how to react.]

Women do not lay eggs, they have eggs, inside. We are born with them. Babies come from a sperm and an egg. If all men needed to make a baby was a warm space, then why are you not all just having sex with each other and shitting babies out?!

Because only women are fertile, and they are better suited to carrying children! How do women have eggs inside them?

[molotov]

They are in the ovaries, the same as sperm are in the testicles! Why do you think that only women are "fertile"? Because we have the other half of the genetic material!

[assassino]

I do not know what that means! [He shakes his head.] But this is what I meant: it is hard to just change one's thoughts when one has been fed them for a lifetime!

It is not hard when your thoughts are all insane and completely lacking any kind of scientific basis!

You're not exactly explaining this science, you're just throwing words at me.

How can I explain the science to a man who thinks women are just... ovens?

[assassino]

Explain what those words mean, perhaps?

And I do not think women are just ovens. They are human beings.
