You, over there. Please, tell me at once! I...I have a briefing to attend in but ten minutes! What could you possibly --No! I have no time for wanton merrymaking! I must get to the courthouse immediately!

 

Since when did eveyone become so miserly with mere directions? I simply want to know how to -- would you please cease that at once!

He'd really like to be able to call out over the journals, but instead, he settles for whistling--a lot--to get the attention of this new someone that he very likely knows.]

[Hoping that the whistling's done the trick, he starts scribbling as fast as he can.]

Huh?


No! I'm not in the book, I'm in a room. I'm writing to you through the journal, and I can hear you through it, too. These journals are kind of magic, or something. They're connected, and you can use them to communicate with other people who also live in this castle now.

Well sure. You probably do, too, but you might have to go around reading nameplates on the doors until you find it.

Hmph. I do not recall placing a reservation.

Good thing you didn't have to! You can even ask the castle for stuff to decorate your room with. It's kind of fun. Though I'm no interior decorator or anything.








It's really nice to hear from someone else I knew back home.

...This has to be some sort of nightmare.

It isn't that bad once you get used to it. The losses are the worst part, though. When you come here, the castle takes something away from you. Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes it's not. Do you have any idea what it took from you?

I never thought I would say this, but given the situation, it would perhaps be the greatest comfort to see you right about now.

If you really want, you can come to my room, or I can meet you--maybe it's better if I meet you. You probably don't know your way around very much. What does it look like, where you are?

It looks like a general meeting area of sorts. It's massive, majestic...It reminds me of a sort of medieval airport concourse...As much sense as that makes.

Okay... I think I know where you are. Give me a few and I'll be there.

[And, yes, if you "give him a few," he will be there, scouring the lobby for Edgeworth.]

He hurries over, waving, and immediately goes about pantomiming in an attempt to get Edgeworth to follow him.]

For once, it is a relie-- Why are you going on about like that?

[He stops and frowns, pulling a little miniature spiral notebook from his pants pocket and writing on it before ripping out the paper and handing it over.

"Can't talk. Castle took my voice."

And then, again, he's back to the 'follow me' dance.]
