[Oh god, now who is this guy? He's new, and he looks pretty mad. He's pacing the lobby like a mad freak. Fists clenched, hair ruffled and glasses broken, he's pretty hard to ignore because of the fact he's yelling out at the top of his lungs. Someone's gotta hear this guy.]

"Hello!? Helloooooo~
I said hello! Ca-can anybody hear me?
This is a joke... this is a joke right?
Someone-Someone want to tell me what's going on?"

[He pauses, and messes up his newly found hair, and then has a minor freakout. There he goes, talking to himself...]

"Ohhh my god, ahaha... oh this is ridiculous. THIS IS ridiculous, truly and utterly ridiculous!
I can't even conceive how ridiculous this is... this... this is like the epitome of ridiculous right here, right here in one place. It's-"

[He turns around, and trips over his footing, knocking over a vase. Oop.]

[He lands on his feet shakily. He can walk, but he constantly trips over his own feet. Looking around, he laughs a bit at her joke, and looks around]

"...Oh, oh this- this is FANTASTIC. All- all the books! Do you see all of these books, do ya see them? So many books. So, so many. There's got to be some good philosophy reads here, maybe-maybe Aristotle or- or Isaac Newton! Confucius! Einstein! Geniuses I have never even heard of!"

[A pony from Equestria probably has never heard of those names, but he doesn't think of that. He sounds so happy for a moment- but then he clears his throat TRYING to look serious.]

"And- and a way to get out of here, too. Can't forget that- that's, that's important."

Then let us hope that the exit does not involve any stairs.

[nope, she doesn't know them but she'll mentally note down their names so she can look them up later.]

[Nope: Too late. He's already sitting on the floor, with piles of books in front of him, scattered across the floor. He's reading one book, while holding the book upside down. It probably would be a good idea to say something, but he seems to be reading intensely.]

"Hey, hey."

[He sounds distracted from reading.]

"How- how bad... do you want to leave this place?"

[she blinks, and then settles on the floor after she rearranges some of the books]

Very much, I dare say.

[...] I believe thy book is upside down.

[He blinks]

"Wh-what? Oh, oh well- actually that explains alot. You know, I was wondering if this book was in some strange code, but, but that makes sense."

[He turns the book rightside-up.]

"I can use all the knowledge I can get. With any kind of information, we'd be one step closer to getting out of here. I'm not sure exactly where this Equestria would be, but, but I'd send you there, and I- well, I would love to go back to my lab. Take it for myself. You know- maybe-maybe they have a book on the places... that the residents originated from? M-maybe? It'd be nice to see this... this place where you come from, myself."

[starting to wonder if he needs a babysitter or something.]

Twilight Sparkle seemed to have found a few books on Equestrian history. If thou shouldst ask, if thou ever sees her.

[hm] She is a purple unicorn filly.

[Sorry about such a long response, I've been not feeling well.]

"Twilight sparkle, twilight sparkle. Alright, alright."

[He looks at her for a while, and laughs]

"I'm not bothering you am I? I- I actually kind've find this all to be quite enjoyable, really like-like some sort of crazy oh! Some crazy detective case. Yes! Yes,Following the clues, making hypotheses, it's like any detective film.

[He's reading a detective book as he speaks.]

nahh, it's fine. Hope you're feeling better!

[headtilt] Thou dost know that fictional detective novels are highly exaggerated, yes?

"Ex-exaggerated?"

[He sets the book down.]

"Nonsense. You- you simply look for the clues and you follow them to come to some sort of conclusion. No, no matter how crazy it is, they all have that same, same, component to them. We just look for it, and then we soolllve it. Like, like that. I'll be Sherlock, and you'd be Watson. It's it's a bloody brilliant plan, you don't even have to lift a... a uh, hoof! Just cover me is all.

[a skeptical look. Did you just give her the sidekick role?]

If it were as straightforward as that, I highly doubt that anypony would still be trapped here.

[Yes. Yes I think he did.]

"Haha, you're forgetting. You've got a genius here."

[He reads through a few pages in the book, in silence]

"...Would.... there be a lab here by any chance too?"

[there's a roll of her eyes]

Nay, I do not believe so. However, there is a clinic on the second floor; it may have the various apparatuses thou may need.

I've been super super sick, but good news is I'm back now. Nice and healthy.

[wheatdos]

"You're the greatest, the best. Did I tell you that yet? Very important, see with you I'm already making an immense amount of progress. It's great, really great. It's like you're some sort of spooky-voiced g-guardian, If-if that's even the right word to describe you."

[He flips through a thesaurus.]

"Colossal! Wait, no... that's the wrong great... um. Give me a moment. Uh... um...Ahhh... transcendental! Y-yeah, that's it."

[He's attempting to be nice. It looks like it's failing.]

That's good to hear!

[there's an amused sound] I will take that as a compliment.

Thus far, thou hast perused a detective novel and a thesaurus. Are they relevant to thy search?

[He is holding a book up and leans back, till he falls over, onto his back, looking up at a book. There, he begins to read]

"I-I'll probably, uh, most likely be able to tell you that in a few hours love. How about I, uh, sit here for a little bit, and then, and then I'll, well, we can talk about it then. I-I I think that would be great."

Take as much time as thou needest. My rooms are on this floor if thou wishest to find me.

[gonna get up and head to the door now. She...doesn't have very high hopes for this particular venture, but he's not too bad.]

[He's immediately absorbed into his books. They're all going to be read by him. All of them. One by one.]

[Shall we do a time skip? O:]

And she'll be in her room, taking a nap because she's still a (mostly) nocturnal pony. The door's cracked open a bit.]

[Okay! Here we go!]

[Wheatley wouldn't actually see Luna for a while. About two weeks. He would be too absorbed in his need to get out that his concern for everyone AND himself had been... well, no concern at all. He however, once he had read practically all of the books in that library, he had decided to give that pony another visit. He had figured that she would be interested in his accomplishments, maybe? Maybe. The door was open a crack, so he would go in quietly, whispering into the room.]

"Hello? H-hello? Anybody home? Anyone in here?"

[those ears twitch, and then she's lifting her head up and blinking drowsily at the intruder.]

Hast thou not yet learned to knock, Wheatley?

[wheatdos]

[He looks like an ABSOLUTE WRECK. His glasses seemed to have re-broken, and his head is a matted mess. His face seems to be dirty with some sort of soot, and his lab coat and clothes look as if they were burnt. He's grinning rather goofily however, despite that]

"Hehehe, glad to know that you at least remember, my- my name. I was worried you wouldn't and then we'd have to start over. You know, there's a guy in this castle who forgets things everyday, psht. I feel bad for him. Hehehe..."

[a few more blinks as she wakes up enough to appreciate his appearance.

Hopping off the bed now.] Didst thou become involved in an explosion of some sort? Hast thou groomed thyself at all?

[wheatdos]

"Um, oh this? Uh, hahaha pay no attention to this, there was just a little, um, accident. Yes. It was pretty, um, pretty bad but I managed to put out the fires. So, so I suppose that was good. As for grooming... well...sss... um, not really, but that, that cant actually be nessecary I mean. There's too little time in the day, I'm obviously not going to waste it."

[He rolls up his sleeve and takes off his glasses, trying to clean the soot off with his arm, but it only smears. He's burnt in little patches, all over the place, including his arms]

"Oh! But the good news is... each and everyone of those books have... been properly gone through with a fine toothed comb. Success, I must tell you."

[she wrinkles her nose and then starts shooing him towards the bathroom with a wing]

Thou may tellest me thy findings while I introduce thee to soap and water. And a brush.

[He stumbles over as she shoos him. He looks a little confused, but continues to speak anyway]

"We-well, it's fascinating really. The things that you can learn from a book. It's as if my entire brain capacity has increased exponentially. With alot of zeroes. Alot. And, and well- if you'd believe it, some of these people wrote- wrote books about this... castle! About their findings, and apparently, well... um they all failed, but I can easily go through their plans one by one and look at it! It's great, you'd be impressed if you saw it, that's for sure!"
