[This... was not where he expected to be. That's apparent by the look on his face, which is both confused and cautious. He reaches for something at his side, only to find it missing and a strange book tucked into his hakama-himo where it should have been.

This appears to anger him slightly. He looks suspiciously at his surroundings and whispers to no one in particular.]

...Has he managed to fool us once again?

[Finding no answer or immediate danger in his surroundings, he flips open the book, looking for clues.]

[The boy's presence startles him for just a moment, then, sensing no threat from him he speaks.]

[A small pause.]

[He considers the boy carefully.]

Do you know who you are? ...or where?

You're in a place known as Paradisa. I'm afraid that you've been taken from your own world by the very castle you're standing in.

I know it sounds crazy but it's true.

[Sound of him fumbling with the book, startled. He hesitates before speaking into it.]

Dairine’s first thought when someone randomly appears in the room is some kind of teleportation. But when he doesn’t even recognize the journal, Dair realizes what’s up.]

That is your standard Paradisian journal.

[He looks to see who is speaking to him, then cautiously approaches.]

A journal? It looks to be written in, already.

[Has been walking about with a teacup in hand and spots the fellow who looks frighteningly like he did in that very same spot he was in exactly two weeks ago...And he realizes.]

[He was certainly starting to get that feeling. He looks at the other man hoping to get some clearer answers.]

What do you mean by that, exactly?

By the looks of it, I'd say that you were just unfortunate enough to be wrangled here unwillingly, to and by this God-forsaken place along with the rest of us.

[He wasn't expecting to see someone so young. He knew he should be wary, but something about children tugged on his heartstrings a bit.]

It isn't all bad, here. But it does take some getting used to.

[Tomoe is sitting on one of the couches people watching, and can't help but notice this new comer's attire--specifically because it is clothing befitting her own era. Of course that didn't necessarily mean a whole lot, but... Well frankly with all the strangeness that went on in the place some hint of familiarity was nice.]

[After a few moments of deliberation she stood and approached on a bit of a whim. There was an air about him that stated fairly clearly that he wasn't only new to the room...]

[He's a bit wary of anything - or anyone - just about now, so he's a bit distant at first. He looks her over and hesitates before responding.]

...I find myself unexpectedly here. Might you be able to tell me where here is?

[She can remember her own reactions when she'd first arrived--after all it wasn't all that long about yet. She gives him a nod.]

This place is called Paradisa... I don't know that there is a good way of explaining what has happened at all... but essentially you have been abducted from your world by whatever power controls this castle. [She nods toward the journal in his hand.] As has anyone with one of these journals... [she holds her own up so that the name on the front (Himura Tomoe) is displayed.]

[She turns the page and comes across this a little later.]

[He hears the book make a slightly muffled noise, so he pays attention to it once again, and opens it.]
