It has been a good day!

I rather like this Christmas. You see, in my time, gifts are usually only given between landlords and their tenants, so it is sweet to see that everyone is so generous in the future.

However, I rather prefer it as Novena, in which we have fun for eight days, and into the New Year.

Also, the man who first created la presepe -- a nativity scene -- was an Italian! He may not have been a Florentine, but Italian will have to do. Yet one more thing you should thank Italia for! We may as well have invented Christmas for you all.

And while we are on the subject: why have I not see any presepe here? You should get on that, fellow residents, it is not too late! At worst, if we cannot find any sculptors amongst our lot, we can just have some dress up in costume and pose for some time in the lobby.

But even so... to my friends, grazie per la tua amicizia in my first year in Paradisa. I hope there will be more to come!

I'm sorry to bother anyone, but something just happened.  I found something in my room. 

I can't say I'm not happy to see it.  I thought it lost months ago in my own world.  I just don't understand how it can be possible for it to be here.  Is it the castle's work, do you think?

[With his question posted, Will goes back to sitting crosslegged on his bed and reverently tracing the edges of a gleaming golden belt and the six signs strung along its length.  Wood, bronze, iron; water, fire, stone.  For all he could tell, the belt of signs seemed exactly the same as the last time he had touched it.]

 [Hello Paradisa.  Have you missed Danny?  He's been hiding from people and sulking over the Christmas season ever since being released from his rhyming loss.

But now something has driven him out of his brief self-imposed attempt at being a hermit.  Which is why a rather harried Danny has finally dug up his journal and begun dictating a hurried question into it.]

So anyone seen any bright pink squeaky toys around here?  I kind of need to find one.  [He cringes at the sound of a loud crash.]

Fast?

[He turns around and yelps at the sight of the open door.]

Cujo!  Get back here!

[And with that Danny transforms into his ghost self and hastily flies out the door in search of a certain energetic green ghost puppy.  Feel free to intercept his attempts at dog control.]

[Jenny's tone is a little pinched as she dictates, as if she's suffering from a hangover. Which she is. There is the occasional pause and quiet thud of a bottle being placed down, though, so she's working her way back up to getting drunk.]

In England, the day after Christmas is also a holiday. I think most people just use it to sleep off too much drink the night before, which isn't that bad of an idea, really. Particularly when all the furniture's wet with melted ice.

I'm more partial to New Year's, since it's obviously quite a lot more secular, and it gives everyone a good excuse to get drunk and snog. It's also conveniently me birthday, which is handy as drinking and snogging are typically good gifts, if they're done right.

[Despite talking about this sort of celebratory thing, she seems a bit morose, though it's very likely it's just the hangover.]

Anyway, happy Boxing Day.

It's.. nice, to spend a holiday with a lot of people.

I don't think I would mind if I had to celebrate Christmas back home. In fact, I almost hope I do. More than myself, Owen would have a lot of fun giving gifts and receiving them. He is better at giving gifts than I am.

But I could learn how. It's important to find the right gift.

i was looking at the calendar and apparently there is another holiday the day after christmas
its called boxing day?
whats that about
does it have to do with punching people for sport

and another thing i wanted to ask
i didnt really prepare for christmas in time and i dont have any money
so i had to go against my personal policy of not wishing for stuff in order to get the right presents for everyone
in future id like to avoid that
so id like to get a job in town if possible
how would i go about doing that

[The first thing that the journal catches is a loud wince, and then a bit of a whine.]

What... Can anyone tell me what happened? I slipped on the ice and I fell--

My head is killing me, ow.

I fell and now I'm here again, but I was definitely back home for a while.

[There's a half-hearted laugh.]

I got into NYADA... But I guess that only means so much now that I'm back here.

Nepeta: Remember.

She's far too excited to write her feelings down, so the entry is dictated rather excitedly.]

I remember!

I remember her! My lusus, Pounce de Leon! I don't know how or why but suddenly I can remember everything about her. She was the most adorable kitty cat ever seen, and the best lusus a troll could ever ask for. All of our adventures together, all of her lessons on how to hunt, everything!

Oh my gosh, she was so great. Her fur was always the softest fur ever, and so warm to cuddle with. She would bring home the best presents, and she was always grateful of the presents I brought her. We even went looking for the Fountain of Cute together! She means the world to me.

I can't explain what happened, and I don't feel any different. All I know is that I remember her now and I won't ever forget her again! This is the best human holiday ever.

[Nepeta's in such a good mood that she can't just sit still. She can be found running all around the castle, wishing everyone a great day and taking in the spirit of the holiday. There's very little that could bring down her mood after regaining the memories she holds most precious to her.]

(OOC: Nepeta's gift from the castle was a loss change! She now remembers everything about her lusus, but what she doesn't know is that she's traded away her feelings for a certain kranky, red-blooded troll. This is also your chance for some Nepeta smooches! Get them while you can!)

Penny leaves all her presents for people outside their doors! She doesn't really know where people live, so they'll be outside their doors that are labeled in the castle.

Phoenix gets a blue scarf and some alcohol.

Lucrezia gets some modern, bright red heels, some ribbons for her hair, and a small intricate music box. Because Penny loves her to death.

Joshua gets a really soft blanket and a little bag of cookies (too lazy to actually make them. She found them in the kitchen, either Peeta's or Duke's or a combination).

Steve gets a how-to video on how to dance and a manly-looking leather journal.

Twicey gets a row of dolls sitting outside his door. STARING. With a note that tells him to work on his people skills with his little helpers ;). If he looks past the dolls, though, there's a basket of cookies and candies (the cookies are just ones from the kitchen, so either Peeta's or Duke's because she's too lazy to cook).

Sophie gets a little package of hair things and a pretty brush.

Kurt gets a bunch of assorted sheet music and a mini electronic piano.

Ezio gets a little leather coin pouch because Penny thought that would be better than a wallet.

Zelos gets a Penny Blossom and some cookies and candies (she's too lazy to cook so she probably stole them from the kitchen.)
