Wonderland: Day Two

wonderlandianIt's another frabjous day in Wonderland! Everyone who entered the world yesterday is very much still there, and there seems to be more for them to explore today!

Jan. 14th, 2013 11:17 amquits[There are three things that have started today out on a rather weird note. First, she overslept. Second, she was awoken by a cold nose and a tongue. Third, that cold nose and tongue did not belong to Tony. It could've been at least somewhat normal if the random dog that she had waking her up was Tony on one of those rumored animal changes. Instead, it was just a dog. A dog that wanted to be fed, apparently. Which she did. Of course, this isn't her dog. Which brings her to this.]
Did anyone misplace a corgi? He seems friendly, but I was wondering if it might be a resident - unless someone can identify him?

Jan. 14th, 2013 04:08 pmeternityalone[Anyone listening over the journal will possibly hear the wooden snap of clothespins being popped off of the line and a light slosh of water in what may or may not be a sink or basin. Water might splatter onto the page of the journal, since Katherine actually doesn't want to sit around and watch clothing dry.]
Cleaning out a closet and finding shopping bags from Paris, from Christmas last year, that had never even been opened and put away - at least it gave me something to do today.
[Considering Katherine spent nearly her last six months in the castle dealing with corsets and bloomers -- it's no wonder that she didn't dig deep into that closet earlier.]
I will say, hand-washing is the most tedious task to do. [She says this as she hangs up another camisole top onto the line in the laundry room. The laundry room which now has a pile of discarded paper shopping bags and boxes, with colored tissue papers and ribbons all on the floor at her feet. The laundry room where the available lines are strung up with lace bras and frilly things that one would buy in Paris if they had the ability to compel anyone and everyone that was working retail there. The laundry room where anyone is welcome to come and be frustrated that she's taken up all that space.]

I have news. I may have done something which is--I'm only just now realising how big a thing it was, actually. But, it's done and it's happening and I'm both ecstatic and somewhat terrified by the prospect.
Fred has consented to move in with me. I asked her last night and she said yes.
Lana, I hope that as my landlord you're comfortable with the idea of Fred being a second occupant of the town residence. We haven't even discussed sharing rent or anything of that nature. But if the lease needs to be renegotiated, please let me know.
I've never lived with anyone else before. Are there things I ought to be aware of? Is there meant to be some sort of protocol for how things are done?
I know about the toilet seat needing to be left down. But what else?

Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance and im sure itll be no time before this tooled volume is filled to the brim with accounts of all sorts of marvelous adventures accrued in this mysterious castle! Though i guess you could say i feel like a real heel for blowing out of the game with my friends like that. I never even had the chance to make amends with jane! Damn it if i had you i would have jotted down that code LICKETY-SPLIT! Then i could have sent it off without a hitch instead of looking like an even bigger buffoon to my dear friend. Whatever it was i bet she would have been thrilled by my selfless gesture of friendship.
Oh well. I guess theres no sense crying over spilled milk now. Those guys will do just fine without me. I have nothing but complete faith in them! And who knows? Maybe this is the way the time travel my friend mentioned comes to pass! Yes im sure of it. By the time i get back jane and dirk ought to have cooled down and itll be just like old times!
Whops. Sitting around moping sure isnt getting any exploring or daring do accomplished is it? Well then my esteemed compendium lets get on with it and see what kind of hazards we can unearth!
