I wonder if we'll get fireworks again this year.

There are fireworks? When? I want to see them, I want to!

[ She might be bouncing a little on her bed. ]

[a chuckle]

A couple of times during the summer. Maybe it'll be the same again this year!

Zelos

[wolfchild]

But that's so loooong away!

[ Oh God. Oh sweet Jesus. She picked up the whining. ]

[Did she just whine? Did she pick that up from him? Should he feel responsible?]

I knooooow, but it's too cold to watch a fireworks show right now.

But that's not fair! I don't want to wait so long, I hate waiting!

[ sob she is so totally unaware of what she's doing ]

I know, but there's other stuff to do in the meantime- like the beach!

She heaves a dramatic sigh. ]

I guess. Tomorrow then. At what time?

[he so can. That's totally his little wolf]

How about noon?

And if you ever get bored, how about you look into how fireworks get to be different colors? I'm kinda curious about that.

[ She will. And he will have to play 20 questions version chemistry 101 after she's done parroting every relevant paragraph. ]

We meet at your room?

[And then they can play "lets try to make fire into ALLL THE COLORS" because that's a responsible thing to do with a 12 year old. Except don't make me answer all the questions because I've never even taken Chem 101]

[ Early (she's excited shut up), Arya dashes to Zelos' room. Without bothering to knock, she throws the door open. ]

Zeeeloooos! Let's go! Are you ready? Can we go?

[ Her hair is standing up almost on end. It clearly hasn't seen a brush or a comb that morning. She's wearing a simple long-sleeved green gown over a thin sleeveless shift. She'll strip down to her shift and smallclothes at the beach. ]

[he meanwhile had been meditating since that beats sleep, which he gets startled from when she comes in]

Whoa- my little wolf! What time is it?

-- And what happened to your hair.

[wolfchild]

I don't know.

[ She doesn't clarify which question she's answering. She runs to the bed and starts jumping on it. ]

Let's go! To the beach! To the beach!

[Man she is full of energy]

Hold on okay? I still need to get dressed.

[thankfully he's wearing sweatpants and a tank top- but still!!]

[wolfchild]

[ She stops jumping, dropping to sit on the bed with her legs under her. ]

Why? You're dressed. Besides you're going to have to take it all off.

[wilder]

I sleep in these clothes, I don't want to get sand and saltwater all over them.

[He'll move to get up from the bed to head to the closet]

In the meantime, use my brush to comb your hair.

[wolfchild]

No! Who cares about my hair it's just going to get tangled up again swimming.

It'll get even more tangled if it's already tangled going in.
